Can the word sound
till you've been down so low
The future's bright,
lit up with no where to go,
to and fro the pendulum throws
We are here and then we go
my shadow left me long ago
Understand what we don't know
this might pass
this might last
this may go
easy come and easy go
easy left me a long time ago
I'm in the fire but I'm still cold
nothing works works for me anymore
ahh ahh ahh ahh ahhh
to and fro the pendulum throws
till you've been down so low
The future's bright,
lit up with no where to go,
to and fro the pendulum throws

Yes! I Agree!
Pearl Jam came on the the scene with Ten like a runaway freight train. they evolved and have kept evolving in good ways. I think this is a GREAT TUNE! Thanx RP!
I like this song, but really just wanted to say that this set has had some mighty fine transitions from song to song. Each song flows into the next in mood, style, and effect. That's why this is my favorite station.
repeating myself again, but...
Always a seat at my table for Eddie.

Yes this is good, groove - wise.
That slow burn and those cryptic lyrics. So good.

The original comment gives more info - they are not a Pearl Jam fan but like this song. A valid comment in my book.

But that would not have been sufficient to express their disapproval of the rest of Pearl Jam's material, which seems to have been the primary ambition for their post.

Interesting take on the intransigence of life.

Hi MediaGrrl, looks like this posted to Pearl Jam and not your intended Everything But The Girl tune...
are people not getting that the narrator here is missing something she never had. Much like the desert never had water (or hadn't in a million years, I'm not a geologist)
She admits she "can't move on", the lyrics show she never had this person.
"I look up at your house, and I can almost hear you shout down to me, where I always used to be."
the guy (or whomever) clearly did not want to have this person in their life.
still, love this song!

I just bought a Wadia 321 DAC and I am demoing a RogueAudio Tube Preamp. The Wadia was a huge overall improvement for all things digital. The Tube amp sounds good on somethings and questionable (for me) on others.
The way this song sounds on the Tube set up makes me want throw down cash for it now.
Awesome to hear music on good gear!!!! An experience too few have. The way this song sounds on the Tube set up makes me want throw down cash for it now.
Pearl Jam not so much usually - this........................ this is wonderful
Yes, I was right. It's now a 9.
Goddammit, this is good for my ears. Instant 8 and climbing.
Like a Eddie Vedder?
not a big Pearl Jam fan, but this is damn good. 8

The only flaw to this beautiful and haunting song is the abrupt ending. Wished it lasted longer with a better finale.
I bought the delux vinyl of this Album. Cost me some coin but it was totally worth it.

Funny how Shawn Smith + Eddie Vedder sound so similar.
Any chance of playing Buttercup by Brad?

Intriguing lyrics, meditative percussion... I'm surprised by how dark and vulnerable this track is for PJ. Really diggin' it

Yeaaaah! PJ! Pendulum/Yellow Moon best songs on album!
First Pearl Jam song I've heard that I would want to hear more than once.
I kind of glossed over PJ in the grunge days. Wasn't really my thing and radio overplay didn't help. But now when I hear some of the B-side stuff I am intrigued. This is a pretty great son, and then I see it is from a new album? Need to take a closer look at PJ, definitely.
Yarling, huh, huh.....huh, huh....yarling.
way cool voice, imo! Vedder has the ability to season the groups' music to a consistently great sound Happy New Year All!
Wow,
What a great seque from Sivert Hoyem to this track by Pearl Jam... really fits and keeps the mood going. Love RP. Thanks Bill and Rebecca

Good song. Thanks for playing, RP. Looking at the comments, there are a surprising number of PJ/Vedder haters. Personally, I've always been a fan of both.
I still think 'Siren' is the best track from this album.
However, as a weather fanatic, I really like the album title!!

Very cool... haven't enjoyed PJ in quite a few albums... this is heading in a good direction.
I usually change the channel as soon as I hear Eddie Vedder's voice but I like this song.
Love it! 10X RP!
Gaah -- this again? Thanks PSD
I just don't get PJ - why would anyone listen to them if there was ANY other choice? Oh, wait... there is another choice... like 1,000,000 of them at any given moment...
Oyyy, oy, oy, oy, Oyyyyy.....
Would be better if Eddie could actually, you know...sing.
Sometimes his limited abilities actually work with the song. Not this time. Interesting sound for Pearl Jam though.

More crap from PJ. Thank goodness for the PSD button
I love how Stephen Thomas Erlewine describes the new record at AMG

The album cover reminds me of the head of one of those cute little minions from Despicable Me...except it's red...and has lightning bolts making it look rather angry.
Don't know what to make of the song yet.
