Bit droning and weak isn't it.

Nice imagery, hayduke2! I'm not a musician or a producer, so I don't hate this song like others apparently do.

Thank you skindy 😍

the singer is leading a troop of survivors across a rope bridge, he's first in line, it's only wide enough for a single adult who must grasp the 2 ropes as hand rails, the long swinging bridge crosses a slowly progressing river of lava, its rising heat almost causing the soles of their shoes to melt to the hard drying wood slats, the singer looks upward, he's trying to remain positive and hopeful for the crossing...

Trash song, after PSD I got here again... because it's so long. :O
I'm digging the groove.

Sometimes; just sometimes - simple is where it's at.  Uncomplicated ear porn.  What's wrong with that.

Let's hope he doesn't get caught fondling goats then.
It's not a terrible song, but it's hard to convince me they really put their backs into making it.
This proof that you can create a stupid song with just two words...{#Stop}
I love anything this man is involved with!

Waste of a musical talent. If he'd fire his deaf producer and remaster his catalogue again with decent compressing and volume, then he could really shine. This way it's just a painful listen, especially on a very good stereo system.

Agree this is very poorly done, love the music though. Thought it might be the file but listening to YouTube  https://youtu.be/GxC4f3G8iRw it is the same.
I find this guy annoyingly dull.

I'd easily choose this song on my snooze button.... almost guaranteed to put me right back to sleep... YAWN

Gonzalez performed solo and with YMusic last night in Oakland.  Wonderful show.  I highly recommend.

Haven't heard anything by Gonzalez/Junip I don't like. This song sounds quite muddy though. Is it naturally lo-fi or a bad copy of the original?

Man, did you ever stop to think he got exactly the sound he was looking for? I liked it. Has cool melodic vibe, dense and layered yet actually feels light in a way. Just because you don't like it or don't get doesn't mean it was badly produced.

What?  Seriously what are the balls and pearls about?
P.S. I wish I was José's producer

I wish you were his producer too - the distortion just kills it for me...what is his deal?!  So talented and then ruined by poor production....?

2 balls!
Excellent! And, can someone answer for me why he insists in adding distortion to the music?! (LOL, so didn't see other comments when I wrote this! It is a theme among ALL his music for some reason?)

Unfortunately it's the former.  I can't think of anyone in the world of music today that is more in need of a professional producer than Jose Gonzalez.

First hear:not bad!
The mix sounds really dense, not light. Somewhat compelling at first hearing.
