Nice!  Took me way back to high school…dancing with myself in front of MTV.  Fun song.
Cant believe this would be considered classic rock!
still keeps me going!

Still rocks so hard, still remember it on the old TV in Country NSW, Australia....blew us all away..... as a 12y the world just changed!

My friend Kim just loves this guy!!
one talented dude and what an amazing voice!
Billy Idol - Dancing With Myself on Make a GIF
Saw him live with Steve Stevens back in the day....
ok, I know I'm going to attract some flaming here but Harry Potter has permanently altered this for me, and forever and ever this will be "Dancing with an Elf."

Me too! But there were so many others there thinking/doing the same thing that I never felt by myself!
Gen X!  But how can you post a later biography without  mentioning Stevie Stevens?

Wasn’t a fan, but when this came on at college parties the girls would start dancing. And that was cool.
I you have no one to dance with... you'll have to dance with yourself
I heard his stage name was inspired by one of his school teachers.
He was such a slacker his teacher called him "Billy Idle".
Good Tune! Brings back memories!

I Agree
The early version of this had Steve Jones and Paul Cook from Sex Pistols on it

Who could not get off their seat and dance by themselves
A Billy Idol concert plays a small part in American Horror Story 1984 (2019).  Just thought y'all might want to know.
If you don't find yourself movin' to the beat, well then that's because you're dead.
Going to see him tomorrow night in San Francisco!! A sold-out show at the Palace of Fine Arts. All-acoustic with Steve Stevens. Looking forward to it!

Classic - nice to see it added to RP! Once in a while it's great to hear it for the many memories.....
