Body so fit
So full of spark
With affirmations
As your wall art
You were driven
Eyes on the prize
A yoga routine
Home exercise
Now like the faded star
In sunset boulevard
I play the devoted butler
Morning coffees by the bed
While all hard fought endeavours
Bring in diminished returns
You're so cool, it's true
You're my kind of girl
Keep you 'till the end
Find solace in the privilege to pursue
Most people are crushed into servitude
So full of spark
With affirmations
As your wall art
You were driven
Eyes on the prize
A yoga routine
Home exercise
Now like the faded star
In sunset boulevard
I play the devoted butler
Morning coffees by the bed
While all hard fought endeavours
Bring in diminished returns
You're so cool, it's true
You're my kind of girl
Keep you 'till the end
Find solace in the privilege to pursue
Most people are crushed into servitude

Nash...
Of course, I like all my own comments. I wrote them after all.
Go on play a Nash the slash track...I dare you! Also, the hate comments will just be delicious! In the late 70s or early eighties he seemed to be at every london venue and show, or was it just me...... We used to play his records to empty out rooms at parties, we hoped we would "get lucky" in the melee that followed....It never happened!
I still have his records though!

Vocals sound a lot like Robert Levon Been of BRMC.
Excellent! I never heard of him before. Thank You RP!

A fresh tune. Breaking it in.

The covered face takes me back to Nash The Slash, who's head was always fully bandaged. (RIP) ...I just noticed someone added a photo of him with violin. Scroll up.
Great video, check it out - they are all faceless. Just caught him in Seattle at the Columbia City Theater, small show of under 200? Like his videos, they were all in these faceless body tights. He had two women dancing (roughly in sync) that were in elaborate all white outfits without faces as well. Kind of anti-Cult of Personality vibe when you can't really see any of the musicians identities.
Nice cool groove - on first listen thumbs up.
Jon's a bit of a Depeche Mode fan, perhaps?
Cool tune, very hip! :)
"You're my kind of girl

is kind of a creepy line too.

You are correct, Barb; congratulations!!
Just occurred to me that he was wearing a top hat and using the name Slash years before Guns and Roses came along.
Your prize (ten pounds of back bacon) is in the mail. ; )
