Bite my tongue bide my time
Wearing a warning sign
Wait till the world is mine
Visions I vandalize
Cold in my kingdom size
Fell for these ocean eyes

You should see me in a crown
I'm gonna run this nothing town
Watch me make 'em bow
One by one by one
One by one by
You should see me in a crown
Your silence is my favorite sound
Watch me make 'em bow
One by one by one
One by one by one

Count my cards watch them fall
Blood on a marble wall
I like the way they all
Scream
Tell me which one is worse
Living or dying first
Sleeping inside a hearse
I don't dream

You say
Come over baby
I think you're pretty
I'm okay
I'm not your baby
If you think I'm pretty

You should see me in a crown
I'm gonna run this nothing town
Watch me make 'em bow

She is soooooo talented.
She's grown so much as an artist and she's still so young. This is an ok song but her newer stuff is on a completely different level in my opinion. First time I heard Ocean Eyes was thanks to RP.
Love her or hate her. One thing she is not is run of the mill.

I've voted 10 just to counter the people who can't see past the end of their nose.

I'd assert that the spirit is more generational than institutional.
That being said, it doesn't come from their generation......!
Look at that list of awards.
Bill, You're wearing me down.  3 > 4
Each time I hear something from her, I try hard to figure out why she got so much attention and rewards, but I hear no music, no good sounds, no compelling singing, nothing but weird grumbling. Was THAT a song, really?
Down from 3  to 1.
songs that have such a non-normal (no bell curve) rating distribution like this one are the reason I listen to RP. Love it or hate it (lots of both here), it keeps things fresh and interesting. Thanks Bill!

Long live the artists.

The only difference being that those artists you named were not dull, repetitive, maudlin, boring, depressing, pointless drivel (well, except for Madonna).... which this track is.
Just effin creepy. And lame. And creepy.
This is a whole lotta nope.
...not worth my attention...

It's debatable whether all music is "art", but if something is "subjective" it would be based on or defined by opinion, not immune from it.  Something "objective" would technically be devoid of opinion, and historically, art has never been immune from opinions.  Anyhow, I find some of this artist's work pretty interesting and engaging, some of it - not so much.
Meh.
interesting, ratings all over = fine.....but the scale reveals a shit ton of "10's"

who the fuck could score this a 10?

there is just not enough meat on the bone to rank this that high......well, unless you are "high on super glue"

Muffled garbage.
I thought music died with Bowie.  Billie Eilish & Finneas have renewed my love in clever, unique dark pop.
Absolute garbage.

I was a little stand offish on Billie at first. Kudos to RP for sticking with a new artist. As this song was playing (I listen while I work from home) I was thinking, this is really unique. I opened the website and was surprise to find it was Billie. I may be the newest Billie Eilish fan.
This is awful, come on.
Scraping the bottom of the barrel with this effort.
This is it?  The  big Grammy winner?   There ain't much here.

It sounds like a song at a strip joint.

Egads, how much farther can pop music slide down.
: ) my daughters introduced me! What can I say- they leant from the 'master of discerning taste'
"Bad Guy" seems to be her signature track and I have to say it's pretty catchy.
This old guy gives it a thumbs up.
Billie Eilish - Bad Guy
Giving this a chance.

F that album cover, though.

Well, he apologized.......
Not aging well, but neither am I.
Second time I've heard this and it's a grower. Will have to try the album.

Seriously. I'll eat some crow here, too: 1 → 3 → 6 on this. Hated it at first, now it has been stuck in my head in a way I don't mind. Plus, her given middle name is actually "Pirate" - that alone should be worth an additional point; therefore, 7.

So true... I did not like this when I first heard it, but now I turn it up.  She does have something new here.
This is growing on me.  Moving from 1 all the way up to 2.

Yeah, and not just the sound.  Let's watch her career arc, maybe it will be like Lorde's relatively quickly being forgotten.
And on the seventh day God created the PSD button
Been listening to her for a while and I cannot figure out what Bill’s seeing in this. I mean there’s a lot of music on RP I don’t like, but I at least can see why someone else might like it. But this stuff is just vapid. Oh well, takes all kinds to fill the freeways.
This is not the type of music I typically like, but I really like this for some reason. It really reaches out and grabs you, both lyrically and musically.
Diggin this and super fun that my 11 yo daughter likes her too - there is hope for her evolving, good, musical taste. (Yes we've heard versions of this tune over the years but as people have noted it's fresh to a new generation and this is important)
Hmm, the music and lyrics match nicely. A millennial's Sympathy for the Devil, perchance?

If time will tell, I'm willing to wait.  Maybe don't play this for another ten years?

Not certain why intoxicants are needed to make this nightmarish.

I heard this and did a double take to see if I still was streaming RP. Thanks for sneaking in something new, completely out of the blue. Not sure if I like it but it is creative and that is enough reason to let it simmer right here for awhile.

In her accompanying Wiki article photo, her expression perfectly sums up my reaction to her music.

I'll go +2 on my initial 6 rating, the subs are gonna love this one....neighbors too I hope....Long Live RP!!

Why is she singing about Bud Light?
I think she's watching too many horror movies. :)
Not only immensely talented, Billie is very down to earth, humble original artist and a person. Love her.

I went 5 to 6 today for similar reasons, though my wife's a fan so 7 might end up being the final rating one day.
Long Live RP!!
not my thing, but i hear the talent. certainly not going to criticize a 17 YO who is able to do stuff i can't do. probably a long career ahead if this is any indication.
I can get into this. I imagine it would be a lot of fun to see live. The album cover is gonna keep me up at night though...

But then it's up to the adults to pick who they want to listen to.  Just because "Everybody is a Winner" in school (maybe, maybe not) doesn't mean the people who employ or pay these kids is following this credo.
Takes some getting used to but she's got something here. 7
I love this! So different and NEW!  I'm really enjoying her stuff.  And in person she's kind of a badass...just sayin.
Look at the ratings how certain ratings she is I like her fast mind. "How can be she liked" certain jealousy dislikes… "she's pretty non-boring" likes.
Great Glastonbury set, I thought.  Fresh talent.  I don't know how long the legs will be on this one, though.  Short and stumpy, I expect.
Honestly, I grew a little tired of RP lately... not that anything changed or got worse. But that was exactly the reason, a little too much of the same. If you listen to it every day for hours, I mean what do you expect... everything gets too much after a while, no matter how good it is.

Tracks like this make me feel like I'm in the right spot again. I don't even have to like everything new that gets played here... actually like this one though.
Started as a 2 but got downgraded to 1 by the end of the song.
Hooray for young talent.
Hooray for shaking things up.
But,
this song is just not good.   2/10
She is to 2019 like Fiona Apple was to me in the 90s. Youthful, sensual, beyond her years and super talented.
Such a distinctive voice/sound.  I'd never heard this particular tune before but knew immediately who it was from hearing one of her other tunes.  I like what she's doing.  You go girl.
Perhaps this 'Everybody is a Winner' educational spirit does have its drawbacks...
I thought it was Lorde at first. I thought the song was interesting, esp for someone so young. Will definitely keep my eye out on this one.
Tedium?  Tedium is hearing the same song for the 50,oooth time in your life.  Not your cup of tea?  Too bad.  I love hearing young musicians put it out there for everyone to see and hear, whether I like it or not.  This is actually pretty captivating, especially knowing how young the pup is.  Can't wait to see if she matures into a full blown musical magician that can conjure images with a turn of the phrase.
Bill has definitely taken a liking to this young artist (and her brother, who I think is an unspoken but important partner here). It has made RP a more interesting discussion point for me and my 14 yr old daughter. Of all the artists that young folks come across Billie eilish has the ability to cross generations, if you give it a chance.
Bringing a whole new meaning to tedium.
