Creating concrete visions
of a macroscopic prism
With a brilliant optimism
and appropriate ambition
To be open from the center,
redirected to the moment
This is it love,
this is it love,
unrestrainable nature

We can change it from the edges,
we can challenge all our borders
There is always a new leader,
there is always a new order
Our pathway is proceeding
and the way is always changing
We are free from what prevents us
to realize our destination

Oh...

Free from all old stories I've been told
I walk through the valley of my own shadow
Free from all old stories I've been told
I walk through the valley of my own shadow

Awareness is my virtue,
and I'm grateful for the search to
Dive deep within my own mind
and to trust the intuition
Of the lives I've lived before this,
our essential form of gnosis
It's a simple form of freedom;
it's as smooth as inhalation

Oh the exhale is releasing
all the tension I've been feeling
On the surface and beneath me,
I'm connecting to my spirit
And I'm here now right before you;
I am present in this moment
And my life's work is to honor
the great beauty all around you

Oh...

Free from all old stories I've been told
I walk through the valley of my own shadow
Free from all old stories I've been told
I walk through the valley of my own shadow

Creating concrete visions
of a macrocosmic prism
With a brilliant optimism
and appropriate ambition
To be open from the center,
redirected to the moment

This is it love,
this is it love,
unrestrainable nature

This is it love,
this is it love,
this is it love,
this is it love

Hard to follow along. The posted lyrics don't match the sung lyrics.
What a beautiful song. The rhytm is so grooving and calming.
I don't know what draws me to this tune, but I love everything about it. Excellent vocals and heavy lyrics. A 9 for sure!
Really thought the singer was Beth Orton before I looked at the details.
Raised my rating from 8 to 9 just now. I heard the opening melody, recognized the song and realized how much I looked forward to hearing it.
Just what my insomnia-laden body needs this morning. Lovely.
prolific lyrics!
yeah the jam the wow from a boomer.
THIS IS INSPIRATION. Bravo! Love it, absolutely, and have from first hearing. Much like Ayla Nereo, these gifted, visionary musicians build such stately, majestic, monumental Earth and Energy-themed masterpieces of profound lyrical and melodically complex beauty that it transfixes and focuses me on the finite in front of me and, simultaneously, on the Infinite beyond...
pellucid describes the voice exactly! Brilliant!
I love this song, the vibe and the voice

Thank you...I was desperately trying to come up with what the sound tickling my brain was, and you solved it...

Strong hint of Coco Rosie.  I love it!
"Awareness is my Virtue."

Ahhhh yes.
There is a word for that.

Long live RP

I gave it a 9 after 1 listen.
The music passes me by, but I give it an extra point for the word "Pellucidity".

Yes! I heard Morcheeba but nodded when I saw you mention Bonobo...

That is a deserving candidate for Pseud's Corner. " timeless" ? Yeesh!

Ok, pleasant enough, in a New Age way, but it goes in one ear and out the other leaving little trace of its passage.
Yes, but that’s not unusual between my ears. Enjoyable little tune and interesting lyrics.

I go to Wikipedia and put in Yaima.  Nothing.  How does this singer or band not have a Wikipedia page?
j adore, simple et efficace....
Interesting, I might have to give this a closer listen on the next play.
Wow. How boring.
could be the love child of Morcheeba and Bonobo
I think I have just found my new focused work music.

The YAIMA Music Project

Featuring Multi-Instrumentalist & Producer Masaru Higasa and Vocalist Pepper Proud has often been described as timeless and unmistakable, offering a balanced synergy of both the masculine and feminine expression. Their melodious soundscapes showcase instruments from all over the world. Inspired by the Majesty of Nature their musings encompass the listener with driving and revitalizing organic rhythms, transcendent electronic production, warm soothing female vocals and heartened lyricism.

Their intention is to create a bridge between Nature and Humankind, an expansive experience that encourages growth and graceful passage  for the hearts and minds of their listeners.

The name YAIMA emerges from two sources one from the Mapudungun language meaning "that which water runs through” and the other from the culturally preserved Yaeyama District of Okinawa Japan-  Over the last 5 years YAIMAs music has been reaching the ears and hearts of listeners from all around the world.

I discovered Yaima last year (not on RP) and love their work

great to see RP has discovered them too
Artists without wiki entries on RP - good for so many reasons. Enjoying this lots.

Not sure how this is the first time hearing this, wow.
Updated - nomnol beat me to posting first by a minute!

I'm not normally given to such foolishness, but since there aren't any comments yet, I'll jump in and be the first.  Only three reviews also as of this posting:  a 7, an 8, and a 9 for an average of 8.  Since I like this piece, guess I'll have to go with an 8 to keep the average intact.

Great stuff again- first time hearing this.
