Yo aún no he aprendido la manera

Rosalia is a catalan young musician. She is very appreciated for her fusion between flamenco (classical style from Andalucía, south of spain region) and modern latin music. That includes bachata, reggaeton, hi hop, whatever label you want to put on a very rich scenario that mixes the most diverse styles.
Personally I am not a fan of hers and this style of music, but I see in her a very talented and disruptive musician.
Para gustos los colores que diuen els espanyols però (i ara canvio al català, que és la llengua materna de la Rosalía i la meva) s'ha de reonèixer que la paia triomfa. I si està triomfant és que alguna cosa deu estar fent bé.
Love it! Trippy, fresh, frenetic, catchy, and FUN. Very creative mastery of sonic brilliance!

Suggestions would be appreciated..........

A perfect example of what is wrong with "modern" music. Catchy, but empty tune. Voices all auto-tuned, probably deliberately. And a lot of usual stuiff in the lyrics.

OK, so Bill liked this or thought it should be included. Not that I could not survive it, just a bit puzzled. Did I miss something that would elevate this song?

Before moving to criticize the entire landscape of modern music from a single example of what I believe is still a very well crafted dance tune with great vocals and lyrics that goes a bit deeper than the average Spotify crap, I invite you to listen more of Rosalia. Motomami is full of pearls (alongside some questionable shenanigans) and her debut and sophomore albums were a finest grapple of a young woman born and raised in Catalonia with the art of flamenco, the musical expression of Andalusia, hundreds miles away, physically and culturally.
I like to think that's why Bill added this access point to Rosalia's work into the schedule...

This song is an example of why we need a zero or a negative 1 on the rating scale - this is absolute garbage.

Check out the vote spread and comments on some Joni songs.
I like it.

No. Nobody needs a second-rate Billie .

Unbelievably fabulous music. The visuals are amazing too, if you look at the youtube video. The visuals begin with Danny Trejo, who played Tortuga in Breaking Bad, among many other amazing film credits. The framing as part of a larger story works quite well as a music video. It doesn't have to be from a larger film to work just exactly as it is. The instrumentation is so distinctive, unique! And I love the much repeated vocal weirdness, voice through a wonderful instrument of some sort, with which the song begins and which plays quite frequently throughout the song--the semi-kazoo-like groove. And the strange horn that follows--or should we say it's more flute-like?--never heard that before, either. And the singing is quite beautiful, as is the tune. Just outstanding. Thank you for playing this!!

Love to hear bachata on RP!
Anyone who's Dominican or who has had the privilege of spending time in the DR is immediately transported by this sound. There's a lot of history to this Caribbean guitar music : )

I highly suspect it's all done through DSP, which is why it sounds weird if you pay attention to it—uncanny edge and so on. Also the fact that The Weeknd is involved, is a dead giveaway that this must be covered in a thick layer of Auto-Tune™ or one of its countless clones that emerged when the patent expired in 2018.
Trap music on RP now?
NO POR FAVOR, ROSALIA NOOOOOOO!!!!

Oh brother, really? The lady takes all of her clothes off for the photo shoot only to suddenly get shy and cover up the important bits? Am I now supposed to pretend I've never seen a naked woman, and act like a 15 year-old who wants to "imagine"? Or am I supposed to think that she would be happy to show herself, if only society would allow this on a CD cover? Is that the 'cause' here? If there's a deeper concept here I don't see it, just pussy wanting to sell itself.

Rosalía got better songs. No her more commercial songs please.

not sure if that is still pc in the 21st century...

If she has had a hand in the concept and design, if she wants to be portrayed in this manner damn straight its pc...how's about in the 21st century we let adults choose their own paths...how they look and what they do with their images and we quit being offended for everyone else...
Kinda like Spanish Billie Eilish?
This is what I hear all day long on commercial radio here in Switzerland, enough said.
Please no.

Both the music and the cover art give me a sense I'll go +1 to 8 one day, though calling it a 7 for now.
Long Live RP and new music from Spain!!

!It caught my attention, both the music and the picture on my RP monitor.  But in the end it seems like a catchy, manufactured sound and image, without substance.
Jeff Tweedy says he can't stop listening to the album.
A 7 on first listen for me.
