A big "meh" for me. It's a technically competent vocal and rendition, but the smooth, sultry, jazzy vibe seems totally at odds with the lyrics. Even Gloria Jones' original version is much more authentic in that regard.

A vast improvement on Soft Cell, but that's a pretty low bar.
Nope, give me the original anytime. This sounds like a diluted version with all the sharp edges removed, to be played as background music in a restaurant.
Kinda digging this cover. I can just see myself in a dark smoky jazz bar listening to this while I nurse my bourbon.
A new song here 2024 from 2011... interesting, but not my favourite version of that song...
