Amazing, and - relatable.  I had a similar experience with Doug and The Slugs in the 80's.  Small town me didn't know what to do at a concert, and apparently no one did.  All 75 of us (if that) just stood there.  DnTS played like it was a sold out show.  This became the template by which I've measured concerts and live performances ever since.

Saw Willie on a rainy night in the middle of the week in a nightclub that holds 600 with *maybe* 50 other people. Despite the circumstances, he ripped through an amazing set, no encores, bare minimum contract-wise but he gave it 100% and left us all imagining what a difference a good crowd in a better venue adds to a show. Still, it's a treasured concert memory.
