Yes! These guys were a slap in the face for me. And they are great to watch!
Angine de Poitrine literally translates from French to angina pectoris which is chest pain or discomfort that occurs when your heart muscle does not get enough oxygen-rich blood.

Yes, the music is a little discomforting, but in a good way.  It definitely works my synapses.

Sounds like the perfect name for this band and their music.

Completely agree. And yet, I still find it lovable. Like my toddler.

A bit of Primus comes to mind. Which by the way is a BIG missing on RP.

Another commenter (on another AdP song played on RP) described them as Primus on a broken turntable, which I felt was super apt.
Ok - again, definitely some Primus influence, interesting.  Still can't understand why there is no Primus on RP...still waiting - William?

Heard these guys are great live. I can believe it. Their concert here sold out on the first day of pre-sale; didn't even get a chance to buy!
This could be music known as djent. If you've got Spotify, there are some great playlists of this genre, if you like this.
Frank Zappa would...
Such a letdown after Nobody's Fault But Mine.....
Is it me or is the tempo slightly faster in the studio version?…..
This is highly original, and enjoyable. See, it is still possible. There is no excuse to keep churning out minor variations on the same song styles.
i KNEW these guys would find their way here!!

AI Stick this up your dung trumpet. Genius. AdP deserve all the success.
"Sééébaaastieeeeen !!!"
I understand the polarization.
For me it's an 8.
Different... in a great way!!! ... Wouldn't hear this anywhere else except perhaps KEXP and RP!! SO many great tunes of ADP to play
Same as Frank Zappa - plenty of his music split opinions. Very skillful but people either love it or hate it (or don't care).

Jerry was a race car driver...

Hate. There's that word again...
Good  choice for artists to be anonymous these days.
Who do I make  this pay check out to?
its gonna take a few listens to render a verdict on this. RP please keep it in the rotation. lets give it a chance. some of the riffs remind me of Captain Beefheart (good thing)
enfin un nouveau genre !! quelque chose de nouveau !! j'adore
Hate. I wish there was a rating lower than sucko-barfo

Love it!! Even better to watch them make their music!
Been wondering when this crazy wonderful microtonal music was going to show up here.
Angine de Poitrine on Radio Paradise!  It's really happening!
These guys are so freaking weird. I love it.
Frank, unfortunately not often to enjoy here at RP,  he would love it. I´m sure!
Angina de Poitrine?
Nice
Hard to sing along to.

Incredible stuff.  These guys are amazing.
Also, talk about polarizing ratings lol

9 from me
A bit of Primus comes to mind. Which by the way is a BIG missing on RP.
I really rarely post comments here, but..... YESSS!!! THAT'S why I LOVE RP! <3

KEXP & Tiny Desk are hugely underrated for sound quality and some of the best live material out there.  RP of course the backbone of my new music discovery.    Love these "guys" looper magic and super tight.
I don't like art that is provocative just for the sake of being provocative, my beautiful music sense is not tingling here. Doesn't mean it's bad, it's just not for me, peace out
Worth hearing once.
love the variety on RP.
Don't think I could do an entire album of this, but as a seasoning to the normal playlist its great.

Right there with you
I dig it.

in small doses.      ...my brain is still getting used to those microtones.
I’m glad this made it to RP - I appreciate RP as a source of new music discovery. But I’d rather find this song on Rock It (which I also listen to) than the main channel.

Thanks for posting. This duo is tight. Much more impressive seeing the video.
I've been wondering when these guys would show up here. I didn't have to wait too long!

I wonder if the KEXP recordings would be available, the production surpasses the studio albums.

Mind you, there are some most excellent tracks on Vol Ii. UTZP, Yor Zarad, Angor.......

I'd also recommend Sherpa and Ababa Hotel from Vol.I, as a bare minimum.

Saw them in Brighton last week, absolutely fantastic.
Battles – Mirrored
YES! And now King Gizz too

Yeah, the 'Why-Make-A-Cover' crowd may not like this at all.  The visuals in the videos gives them more attention time from the observer to let the song develop.  Without it, a lot here will PSD within the few seconds.

'Different' isn't for everyone...
An excellent article in the Guardian
I've seen the future and it's polka dots
Oh my god, it got here! Finally!
So joyfull! So silly! So skillful! And so many dots! :D :D :D

EDIT: My hope is they're taping their current shows, there are some amazing takes of Ababa Hotel and the rest?
I would buy that live album.
