An Exceptionally Important Journal Entry

Posted by JustineFromWyoming - Apr 30, 2014 - 5:39pm
I was thinking deeply about fried chicken while I was cleaning out my closet today. It's a discouraging state of affairs when I tidy my closet and keep the corduroy pants on the top of the stack, get excited when I find my favorite cashmere sweater (that I bought second hand when *barely* expecting the nearly 12-year old baby and I thought I'd stupidly misplaced), and I looked longingly at my short sleeved shirts... on April 30th.
Oi.Yes, that's just a little insight to my thought process. Then, I remembered I'd threatened the family with homemade mac n'cheese. And then I made a roux so dang think I could have used it as mortar but I was short the bricks. But it tasted good. I used some spice mix I made a while back on the concoction and now the house smells like fried chicken anyway. But the Easter ham was dealt with ... and one should always deal with the ham. Fried chicken for everyone! And, maybe ... some more good beer.

Yeah. Well when I (and many, many others) met her, she was 3 or 4. Nyah.

Therefore, I say, a trip to druid labs!
