I'm envious. Mind you, we're having what I think may be the warmest February here in years. I'll have to check the stats on that when I get time.

It has rained or snowed every weekend for the last 5 weeks. I finally got a chance to walk the yard today. Last year's kale is growing again and tastes nice and sweet. Garlic has broken ground and is about 3 inches tall last season's carrots are still in the ground under a bed of leaves. the forsythia is budded and showing bits of yellow. Daffodils are leafed various buds on the shrubs Hellebore is blooming Spring is just around the corner!

Assuming Florida, you probably should go with plants. They should be in the ground before it gets too hot. There is one from UnvFlorida called Garden Gem that is tastey. What you really need fown there is disease resistance. This somewhat limits your choice away from heirlooms. There is one called Damsel that may be well suited. You can find seeds of that from johhny's Seed.
