I guess there is always the choice to not look at your updates. The birth was pretty cool, though..........to actually see the before and after shots, and the dad relating his experience......in real time. But the chemo thing today...that just made me sad.

Things are really different these days. Not good or bad, just WAY different than the first half of my life.

That will be me in November

When I used to work at Budget Rent a Car, we had our hometown on our name tags and I got asked that all the time.

That's fantastic that you get to go back........oh MAN do I miss Santa Barbara. Hopefully, if I decide to go through with my challenging Plan (with a capital P) I'll be headed west (but not to CA) by the end of October.

I'm still thinking it over......

Just saw this from a Santa Barbara friend of mine whose family lives in San Jose:

On my way to San Jose..

And it took an INCREDIBLE amount of restraint not to put "Do you know the way??"

If you wear a headscarf, people think you have a disease; if you go around bald, people think you have an attitude.

(this from my friend who is just growing a bit 'o fuzz back after chemo 'n stuff.  )

Living Happily Ever After isn't about having a non-stop series of perfect days. It's about knowing you're on the right path even on the not so perfect days.
