OK, I just checked. To get the four of us to London on the Eurostar would cost over 700 euros. And we'd have to book a hotel in London. I think we'll have to pass on the meetup. But it would have been fun!

A trip up from Canary Wharf sounds good - we're staying at Southwark, right on the Jubilee Line, so that's no problem. I'll ask my mate about the fast ferries that run up stream.
