Dial up my number now
Weaving it through the wire
Switch me on, turn me up
Don't want it Baudelaire
Just glitter lust
Switch me on, turn me up
I want to touch you you're just
Made for love
I need la la la la la
I need ooo la la la la
Calls up and round me
Teasing your poetry
Switch me on, turn me up
Oh child of Venus you're just
Made for love
You know I walk for days
I wanna waste some time
You wanna be so mean
You know I love to watch
I wanna love some more
I'll never be the same
A broken heel like a heart
I'll never walk again
Weaving it through the wire
Switch me on, turn me up
Don't want it Baudelaire
Just glitter lust
Switch me on, turn me up
I want to touch you you're just
Made for love
I need la la la la la
I need ooo la la la la
Calls up and round me
Teasing your poetry
Switch me on, turn me up
Oh child of Venus you're just

A broken heel like a heart
I'll never walk again

Loving this song being in heavy rotation!
Saw them live several years ago -- absolutely amazing. Allison has a powerful operatic voice she likes to show off live that you wouldn't suspect listening to this. Her new solo album is great:

Ooh La La! Rockin the moonlit backyard!
Sounds similar to Greenback Boogie - the Suits theme song.
Spirit in the Sky meets The Passenger (Iggy Pop)
Marc Bolan must be so proud of his protegee. Projecting HUGE T Rex vibes here, and that is in no way a complaint
Whenever the intro plays, I think I'm about to hear Muse.
love that Spirit in the Sky riff..whatever happened to Norman Greenbaum?
Goldfrapp is one of those bands I forget exist, but every time I come across a song by them, I remember how great they are. I should add their albums to my rotation!
Is it my imagination or are some tracks now coming on repeat far more often - or at least repeated after just 2-3 days?
Like the song, but one of a few I've noticed coming back earlier than expected...

Alison is a little easier on the eyes than those grizzly dudes. Saw Goldfrapp live -- she has an incredible vocal power and range.
Sounds like ZZ Top - La grange / Boogie Chillen - Hooker but electronic

This is so very different from “Annabel,” the other Goldfrapp track in heavy rotation at RP. I once went through all of Goldfrapp’s back catalog on Spotify hoping to find other stuff like Annabel, but was mildly disappointed to find that “Ohh La La” is more typical of their sound. We should be grateful for the creative, insightful burst of music that spawned Annabel.
I like both equally

A very.... 'rawr!'... track, huh?
Mark Bolan must be smiling.
One should never underestimate the power of a gal with this kind of talent, passion, & vision. I love how she gets it going and keeps it up!

Yes!
I"d like to hear Strict Machine from her, which I haven't heard here in a long time.
Reminds me of the first scene from the French horror movie "Climax", which (unlike the rest of the movie) is pretty awesome: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hwkacrln26o

It's a diverse catalog. Check out "Drew" from the same record as Annabel. I think that they began to move away from the dance music with Seventh Tree, with some trips back to it here and there.

Worst Godfrapp song.

ZZ Top "borrowed heavily from John Lee Hooker's "Boogie Chillen" and Slim Harpo's "Shake Your Hips" when they composed "La Grange" - as did Norman Greenbaum when composing "Spirit In The Sky". In a failed copyright lawsuit regarding "La Grange", the court rules that the rhythm was in the public domain. In other words: it's a standard R&B rhythm.

I love Goldfrapp but not when they're channelling T Rex.
Alison! Ooh La La me right now! Please!
The glam band music video of this is kinda cool too.

Never fails to get me up and moving!!
First time for me and liking it! Initially felt a Sweet vibe
Rated an 8 just for the cover art.
Sounds like Chris Isaak.
This whole record is good! Her slow songs are pure magic.
This beat made me turn up the volume!
So, it's from the cover art of a different single, but Alison (or her social media manager) posted this to Facebook and Twitter yesterday - for everyone who'd like to see Brienne of Tarth wearing nothing but a rabbit mask and an Alison Goldfrapp on her lap (no explicit nudity).
Cool, I've never heard this one, even though familiar with newer Goldfrapp.

I stopped what I was doing to see who this was with this boogieing, get-down song. And regardless of the negative comments below re: ripoff of other artists/styles/songs may I humbly remind you that there is really nothing new under the sun. She does a right good job of blending past artists styles/lyrics/etc into one jumping song. An 8 right out of the box for me.

ummm can you have an IQ any lower?? it's called a SAMPLE, you twits (reference, homage, parody etc) - late sixties/early seventies, pre-disco, cerrone...anyone? as for t-rex - duh!! 1 of their songs is called Ride a White Horse ('Ride a White Swan'...). i don't care for the 'opinions' of anyone who knows enough about ZZ Top to 'hear' it in anything, anyway. And the dumbass who compared Alison Goldfrapp to Britchrispinksimpson...ok, i think it's things like this that cause aneurysms.
When I first heard this, I thought: Whoever this is, it's a total rip-off of Goldfrapp.
It's hard for me to rate this. I don't think it's unacceptably close to Spirit in the Sky. But her music creeps me out.
Too many licks ripped from other "real" bands...
I hear T-rex.....
I would prefer to listen to any of the tracks from her first album Felt Mountain, rather than hear this again.
Ooh La La doesn't do it for me.
