You know there's sometimes I just sit around and wonder
'bout what is and what would ever be
But you know I'd much rather find myself
Lost out on the sea nights of mystery
Yeah there's some people and they grow up crazy
And there's some people that never bother to grow up at all y'all
I don't worry about any of that shit anymore
I just listen for my sweet baby to call
She goes here i come I'm gonna talk talk
All the time about love, love
Got me a light and it shines just like a diamond
I never get me enough hoo hoo
Here it comes comes up again now
Watch it watchin on a you and me
Don't I love love to caught out on your sweet
Nights of mystery
All I need nights of mystery
All I need is one fine moment
Of intuition and clarity
Just one fine, fine moment
That's all I'll ever need in this life for me
I got this genious of the heart
That shines wild and free
Don't I love, love to be caught out
On your sweet nights of mystery
She goes here I come I'm gonna talk, talk
Talk all the time about love, love
Got me a light and it shines just like a diamond
I never get me enough, hoo hoo
Here it comes comes up again now

I always expect this to lead into Every Picture Tells A Story....
My British mate "Short-Circuit" Mike R. and I used to get the biggest kick out of jamming out to this and other songs by this rocking, fun Georgia band good and loud, singing along heartily while drinking endless cases of Asahi Super Dry, Kirin Ichiban-Shibori, and exquisite sake in his awesome bay-view apartment with balcony in Atami, Shizuoka, Japan, from '88-'90! "Ya got me TIED DOWN with BATTLESHIP chains... FIFTY FOOT-long and a TWO-TON anchor..."
First time hearing this--quite good even if the drum machine's a bit heavy-handed. A shame this didn't get more FM airtime back in '86-87.

Eine gute Band! Wir haben sie geliebt, auf dem Land in der Schweiz in den 80ern.

I don't know that I've ever heard another Georgia Satellites song before now. Someone below had it right: archetypal sound.
This band has zero shelf life.
Love this song & this album, except "hands" was ruined at 100000 listen's

You misspelled "archetype".
Sounds like a parody of USA rock n roll.

I would like this so much more if there were no singing...
this song could achieve some minor huggee and kissee
Turn it UP!!

Now THATS party music!!!
Wow, much better than the tunes they're best known for.
These guys share a little sound with The Black Crowes, but with a bit more twang. And I like that. In 1986 we had such horrible bubble gum glam rock emerging with the likes of Cinderella, Poison and the like. Luckily some real rock bands broke through such as this, and a few years later The Black Crowes.
I LOVE THIS BAND. what a breath of fresh air back in the 80s and still sounds great. Their catalog has many more gems, PLAY MORE!
Lawdy. This band really should have picked up their Most Obnoxious Band award and gone on home back to Atlanta. Still, I caught my head inadvertently nodding during this one.
one hit wonder status applicable here
Thirteen since this has been played on RP. I like it, let's hear some more of the Georgia Satellites.
Same dudes. Tied down with Battleship Chains is another good one.
During that intro I expected, "my hunny my baby, keep your hands to yo-seff, no huggy, no kissy, till I get a weddin ring".
Same doods?
MAJOR BLOWAGE GOING ON HERE
love this little ditty!
Hint of Stevie Ray V.

Lighten up
Love this song, it has always been one of my favs. Love the guitar solo on this one. Once you get past the "change in my pocket..." song, they are/were a good band. To hear it here, I couldn't believe it! I had to double check.
My mom must of sent my box of old albums to RP.

They should have been much bigger. "Keep Your Hands to Yourself" from this album was a huge hit. Anybody know what happened to the band or whether its members went on to success?
