All these visions in my head
Should have gone to bed before the watershed
Some are alive some are dead
Makes no difference when they're in your head
Keep the door open a crack
So I can see them when they attack
Some are white
Some are black
Makes no difference when they're on your back
And I can't stop crying
And I can't stop driving
'Cause the day is dying dying dying
And my eyes wide open
Count the sheep jumping the fence
So I can see tee pees when I'm feeling tents
Disbelief hung in suspense
Eiderdown is my own defense
And I can't stop crying
And I can't stop driving
'Cause the day is dying dying dying
And my eyes wide open
All these visions in my head

The music reminds me of the song - Tiger Woods by Dan Bern
Give it a listen it's quite entertaining.

Tripe:
1) The rubbery lining of the stomach of cattle or other ruminants, used as food. 2) Something of no value; rubbish.
Many of the comments have chosen to go with the first element of the definition: the stomach lining of a ruminant and whether people can relate to that as food. But I'm guessing that DaidyBoy was meaning the second. So let's consider that.
First off, DaidyBoy's comment is an opinion. So I ask myself, is it useful to know that DaidyBoy thought this song was rubbish? Well, from a look at his extensive song comments on his profile, I note that one word opinions by him are almost non existent. His comments often get positive reactions for their humour, insight, and community spiritedness. So yes, his opinions are valued. And also, I note that his taste in music is often similar to mine, so his views must be right on, right ;-)

For eagle eared listeners this track is not a random follow to Coldplay's "Spies" song. How so? Because I thought that Spies had a guitar riff that reminded me of a Travis song "Why does it always rain on me". Sure enough,,, the next song Bill sequences is a Travis song - not the one I was thinking of but I bet Bill thought the same and hence this crafty segue?
horrible!

In my current locale they call it mondongo, and the one time I was persuaded to try it I almost projectile-vomited over the salad bar in the restaurant, which would've put a damper on proceedings. I'm normally a fan of viscera (haggis, yum!), but I have to draw the line somewhere.

Sides. That was the song that made me sit up and take notice of Travis. And now, this song. I know they've been around for a long time, but for some reason (oh, geez - could it be that I live in a town where "Billie-Jean" is considered "cutting-edge"?) the only reason I've heard any of their stuff is because of RP.
If I lose my computer, I'll lose this music, and I won't go quietly. I have options. To anyone reading this post - don't take your computers for granted. Save music. Hoard it. Be willing to share it with anyone who wants it, because the time will probably come when computer access will be at a premium (well, it sorta is already.) I'm saving every piece of music I can glom onto, and if the time ever comes when we have to leave our homes and go underground, you can bet your ass I'll have a truckload of batteries, an MP3 player, a good set of headphones, and all the music I can get.

I'll just bring one acoustic guitar and a lot of strings. For me the joy of Travis was always Fran Healy's voice over some nice tunes. On this track his voice is nondescript. Anyone could be singing this quite ordinary tune.
Holy crap! Is your town under imminent siege by militant neo-Luddites or are you just overly fond of dystopian scenarios? Surely, the community in which you've chosen to live isn't THAT freaky, is it? I mean, if someone really wants to take my gear, they'll have to pry it from my cold, dead fingers. But frankly, I'd move the heck out before it came to that. Not judging, just...sort of...curious...

Nice sad song. Like songs that rhyme "cryin'" and "dyin'" and repeat them a lot in a refrain. Good to commit suicide by, or at least to indulge in a fit of sorrow, regret, and self-pity.

Get used to it. RP is run by just a few people. If Bill had to constantly come up with new sets he'd never get to sleep at all. The fact that some sets get reused is actually one of the things I've come to like. Especially when Bill gets a really good one put together.
