Something good, oh something good tonight will make me forget about you for now.
Get high, hit the floor before you go.
Matador, estocada, you're my blood sport.
But something good tonight will make me forget about you for now
Forty-eight thousand seats bleats and roars for my memories of you,
Now that I'm fully clean the matador is no more and is dragged from view.
Get high, hit the floor before you go.
Matador, estocada, you're my blood sport.
Forty-eight thousand seats bleats and roars for my memories of you,
Now that I am clean the matador is no more and is dragged from view.
But something good tonight will make me forget about you for now.

Well, of course , something good is going to happen when one of your band members is channelling Groucho Marx!

I get flashes of Adam Sandler singing "The Chanukah Song" from this guy's lead vocals. Ruins it for me.

Yeah, well, that's just your opinion man.  I think that is a pretty good folder to be in!
but i love these guys! (tho, they are terrible live...)

THE VIDEO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?...

Lots of moaning.
I rather like it; it's smooth and interesting.
I've given it 8 and hope to hear it again.
LoL RP
The guitar main note is slightly flat. It’s annoying af!
Other than that (rather annoying, if I didn’t mention it) repetitive flatness, I like the song. Except for it being out of tune.

and flat.
Alt-J ??
No. For me, each time I hear this voice, it is more a Alt-F4 (closes the app).
I first discovered this song when playing Life is Strange. It was a good use of the song there, and I discovered alot of great artists through that game.

Alot of said artists seem to have quite a few of their tracks on here too.

Can't believe somebody down-voted this comment. I literally laughed out loud.

Must be an obsession, like Alt-Alt behavior.

I really, really don't miss that guy. Too many all caps and exclamation points
Brilliant love this and the video to it, would give it 10 but for some reason I can't vote
The first time I've listened to Alt-J was a couple of years ago - in fact it must've been quite shortly after the release of An Awesome Wave -  here on RP!

I fell in love with them immediately, thank you!
Agree about sound quality . On my best kit they do sound incredible - Demo « show off » standard

Didn't Historyonics use Ace Of Spades for the battle music at Hastings?

Keep the Alt-J coming.  They are fresh and different shaking up the mix!

What was it about a mermaid not being able to speak that the fellow singing the song at the end could not understand?

Probably my favourite discovery on Radio Paradise.
Thanks for the music.
Even better live!!!!!!
Best thing since sliced bread.

I'm pretty sure 'paradiseregained' is a sock puppet.  Perusing this and a few other Alt-J song comments will probably clue you in as to whose.
Outstanding!
Awful. Please stop playing them.
Amazing band, but I cannot not hear Adam Sandler.
OUTSTANDING IN ALL CAPS LOCK.
It's totally worth repeating a gazillion times !

I caught these cats at the Neptune theatre in Seattle a few years ago on their first U.S.A. tour.
Really impressed. They played this album start to finish, and it sounded ridiculously polished and perfect live.
Just saw these guys at the Peabody Opera House in St. Louis last week, pretty amazing light show and really high quality sound. Fun band.

The production quality of these dudes songs is fantastic, by far the best sound quality on any of my devices, very original sound
Love this band's sound, but cannot not hear Adam Sandler....
I never get tired of this song.

Fantastic! Thank you..

                I already forgot everything,.
But, I remember the small hours.
              And  something good tonight
Against my will.I pulls a straight

So, sets my body in motion again.

You have a stop/PSD button, use it, but dont push your choices on us all. If you wanted the light off, turn yours off, dont cut the power to the city.

I love Alt-J, saw them in concert recently and I also believe they are one of the most interesting new bands around.

See my comments for the previous (STONE ROSES) song!

This song is good, but it's quickly wearing thin the more times I hear it.

Mrs Poacher and I often seem to be the oldest at some of the gigs we go to nowadays. Sign of our times I suppose. . . its not going to get any better!

One day we will get front stage access in our matching bath chairs and associated young nurses who take us.
My step daughter turned me on to the cool video for this tune:

Pretty amazing they sold out two shows at The Fox in Oakland, and the crowd was definitely into the music. I'm pretty sure I was the oldest one there;)

I expected Tessellate to be the high point, but Taro was my favorite song of the night...

I saw them in Johannesburg  two weeks ago. It was such a surprise that they made it to African shores.

Whilst I can honestly say, they are not the most awesome live act around, it was just soooooo damned special to be there. I loved Alt-J from the moment I first heard them on RP but certainly never thought I'd be at a live gig of theirs. It was a special night for me and my sweetheart. Just so sad my daughters couldn't have been with us.
Huh.  I guess I must like these guys.  This is the second song of theirs that I've heard routinely on here and both are "quite likable" or better. : )
I'm loving all the Alt-J that's been around these parts lately. Thanks, Bill!

Great song, I am good with never hearing it again. Awww the life of someone with severe musical ADD.
Yet another allegory for drug addiction. Not saying it's a bad thing but it's certainly disturbing. After all, we all love The Beatles, right?

Anyways, great song, and such a great music video. I might actually get the album.
Love this entire album. Being in the UK they'd already made it mainstream with "Matilda" before I bought it, but it took RP to make me pay attention.

Samba muy rico

Those are some cool high octave piano notes...  that almost puts this in the ten spot...  hmmmm...

Gotta give the producer a lot of credit for this fantastic recording !

I predict that these guys are going to have some kind of breakthrough hit, like Gotye did, at some point. Their sound is so close to mainstream pop, yet just a little too off-center to catch on just yet. Give it a few years and the mainstream will come to them without them having to move towards the mainstream very much.
So.....to my ears it's Most Excellent during the instrumental bits and Pretty Good when they're singing. So that averages out to a solid Quite Likeable.

This is an immediate EIGHT.   What a fantastic new sound.

It's fair to say I like this tune and hopefully more from Alt-J.
LOVE these guys!
This is really interesting, and really different. I think I like, but not sure.

My favorite track on the album...for the moment, it keeps changing :)
This is a great album.
love this entire album - so good!
..his voice could make a dirge interesting..those varying vocals with the musical shifts are magical..8 >> 9..
