Well come on and get something
Onto my rung
Where the chords and the notes are the only thing sung
Come on and get something
Onto my rung
Keep the stereo on
Everything else has gone wrong
Everything else has gone wrong
Everything else has gone wrong
Everything else has gone wrong
Aching for a word
I can feel my mind running
I can chase it ’til I’m seeing blood
Dark red coat on the side of my throat
When you heard each sound
Did you swallow it down tasting every word
Then come on and get something
Onto my rung
Where the chords and the notes are the only thing sung
Come on and get something
Onto my rung
Keep the stereo on
Everything else has gone wrong
Everything else has gone wrong
Everything else has gone wrong
Everything else has gone wrong
Everything else has gone wrong
Everything else has gone wrong
Everything else has gone wrong
Everything else has gone wrong
I guess I found my peace again
And yes I found my second wind
I guess I found my peace again
And yes I found my second wind
I guess I found my peace again
And yes I found my second wind
I guess I found my peace again
And yes I found my second wind
And yes I found my second wind
And yes I found my second wind
And yes I found my second wind
And yes I found some hope again
And yes I found my peace again
And yes I found my second wind
And yes I found my peace again
And yes I found my second wind
And yes I found my second wind
And yes I found my second wind
And yes I found my second wind
And yes I found my some hope again
And yes I found my second wind
(Everything else has gone wrong)

I love their sound. The fast tempo of the lyrics as if they are trying to get as many words in as possible on 1 breath and then a gasp and continue on with more. Hence the words, he got his 2nd wind after the first verse.....

Yeah. As a songwriter/poet, I have a finite time to deliver my “message” or POV, etc.
i completely understand cadence & repetition of key phrases/hooks....but (as this song illustrates, IMO) the phrase becomes not just redundant, but downright annoying — like a child saying, “Mommy! Mommy! Mommy! Mommy! Mommy, Look! Mommy! “Mommy! Mommy! Mommy! Mommy! Mommy, Look! Mommy! “Mommy! Mommy! Mommy! Mommy! Mommy, Look! Mommy!” (18x....but who’s daft enough to keep track of that sort of thing?)
:/
I like this song when it starts, but at about 3:08 I find myself skipping to the next song. I'm glad he found his second wind and all, but enough already.

Why am I suddenly feeling very pessimistic?
OOps, just posted this on the wrong song, but now that you found your second wind, how about writing some interesting lyrics.
First heard this on BBC 6Music a couple of days ago, so very current Bill !!
Great song name
with a bit of The Violent Femmes, a 7 for the first listening
Bill finds the wildest stuff!
Hearing this for the first time and within the first few seconds of the song I had to find out what it was. Catchy and hypnotic!
Sweet! This caught my ear and I had to take a look, but wasn't expecting it to be brand new. Happy New Year, RP!

I think he has OCD...
