Meh on first listen. (Would like to know if I can remove this comment later, when I'm better acquainted with this track.) After posting, I can see [ Edit | Delete | Reply ], is that permanent for me...

Based in Ghent, Foutloos is a brand new trio that arrives with a sound that breaks genre, expectation and time. This newly minted Belgian instrumental outfit, featuring the talents of Esther Coorevits, Jonas Bruyneel and Renaud Debruyne, draw on their extensive experience in other musical groups to bring to life a shared sonic vision unlike any other.
Their music brings together atmospheric viola improvisations with funky bass lines and grooves that sway between jazz-inflected hip hop and neo soul vibes. Together, they forge a sound that’s at once accessible and entirely unexpected; grounded and offbeat, serious and playful in equal measures.
While Foutloos may be a new name to most, their musical language has already made an impact. With backgrounds in diverse scenes and disciplines, each member brings something distinctive and exciting to the table. Making their official artistic entrance, they bring us their new debut single titled “Leevendig,” released via the Wellington Records imprint.
