Nowhere to go
But I'll still be cruising
I live this life long
Long long time

You know I'm drifting along (drifting along)
Can't see where I'm going
I will get to my destination

I' m feeling the pressure (pressure)
All around me crumble (man now)
But I won't be put down this time

I'm shifting along
Though I sing a sweet song (sweet song)
We'll murder in the streets where I be livin'

I'm closing my eyes (closing my eyes
Don't want to see killin'
Gentle giants will roam forever

I'm cruising the street
Wondering who I will meet
Oh love has got to reign in our world

La la la la
La la la la la
I don't know where I am going to
(I don't know where I am going to)

La la la la
La la la la la
I don't know where I am going to
Drifting along

Drifting along
Closing up my ears to the sound
I don't want to hear, crying

damn good stuff. i miss the old Jamiroquai.
You might check out the latest album, "Dynamite." They finally got away from strictly "disco with strings" and touch a bit more on their acid-jazz roots. Even some of the disco songs on "Dynamite" are pretty tolerable because they actually put a dose of funk in 'em. It's the first Jamiroquai album I've truly enjoyed since "Return of the Space Cowboy" and the occasional "Travelling Without Moving" track.
Ersatz reggae...ugh, make it stop.

great band, although this song is less...lead singer used to deal cocaine in London, the loser.
I don't know about the band, London is hip and cocaine is fine with me. I just hate reggae. Sorry fans. I reeeeally hate it!

Yeah, it's a great song, but the lead singer (and, I belive, the rest of the band) is a guy, not a gal. ;)
Oops! Not sure where I got that idea. Thanks for the correction.
two words: rasta imposter
Jamiroquai seem to have left the strong Stevie Wonder influence behind and conquered their own place in music. Funny, but in this song Jay Kay's voice reminds me a bit of Sting in his Police days. Just the more because it's a Reggae song.
yay! :sunny.gif:

I agree..I discovered them when I was overseas around 1990 or so and it took a long time to catch on over here...miss the groove and the funk....don't miss this quasi-reggae stuff though.... :p

great song. great album.

They should stick to their funk in funny hats groove - which is fine if you like that sort of thing.
I love this band, Im so glad they are being played, they belong on RP.
This is quite different from her other songs I have heard. I like it. The reggae influence is quite welcome.
