Blindfold me tie me up or tie me down yeah take me anywhere
Keep your ears close to the ground
Listen to me but don't die laughing
And all things must end yeah
But I can see my fate in your eyes
As I'm stitched up by my friends again
They just can't defend the state of things between
You and me
Used to be on fire
So slip off your shackles
Cause you don't need them where we're going
See what happens just happens
There ain't no straight lines in the state of things
So try to cling on for dear life
And don't forget the world keeps on turning round despite
You and me
Used to be on fire
Now look now
See when we're going
I don't know where I'm going
I don't know
Keep your ears close to the ground
Listen to me but don't die laughing
And all things must end yeah
But I can see my fate in your eyes
As I'm stitched up by my friends again
They just can't defend the state of things between
You and me

I don't know

Toujours un plaisir à ecouter ce superbe groupe et cette voix si particulière!
such a waist, great voice, great melody..the lyrics are embarrassingly childish
someone should pick that great band and write them some clever songs

wow. i like this. had no idea.
Another Turin Brakes song I've never heard before! Dang, I really love their music! They make me want to write. Or cook. Or write. Or do laundry. (Translation: Their music motivates me.)
Like this song - I'll need to hear it a couple more times, but it's 8 with a bullet.

Like 'em 'cause they sound like Remy.

It doesn't get much better than TB.
The first two CDs I bought because of hearing the artists first on RP were Turin Brakes (Ether Song) and Trash Can Sinatras (Weightlifting). I was in my "T" phase.
Lotta heart in that voice.
Aah, that voice. It conjures haunting visions of burning dogs whenever I hear it.
What will my shrink say?

LOVE anything by Turin Brakes!!! Love em!!
Check out the rest of their albums...lots more great stuff out there.
Another great band introduced to me by Mr. Bill Goldsmith, Internet Radio DJ Supreme!
Turin Brakes are an awesome band. This song is definitely one of the best on this album but this album is a real gem and gets heavy rotation in my mp3 player. Very Nick Draky in its harmonies (although not really on the same level-What is when being compared to the immortal sound of Mr. Drake?!).
Definitely a solid 8 drifting to a 9.
RP rules!

why not?
Disc or Drum? Art, you're a nut. It's obviously disc. Compact.
I like it.

Don't thank me. It's the least I can do.

If this is the standout, I'll skip.
I gave it a 3, and feel generous about it.

Maybe I'm just really tired and goofy, but this comment is hilarious.
