Doom, despair, and agony on me
Gloom, depression, excessive misery
If it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all
Doom despair and agony on me

Yeah, I thought it was a chick too.  I like it anyway {#Mrgreen}

Absolutely. I heard him here first and have purchased all of his work. The negative comments mean nothing as he's an extremely talented and unique musician.

Dude, any self respecting woman would throw you out with that wussy voice and those drippy lyrics.
What a whiney little boy.....ugh
His voice sounds quite a bit like Jesse Sykes. And she's a she.

Good high music.{#Crown}
Great dreaming music : )
Been there. {#Ask}
Since many are hearing someone else here, for me it was Aimee Mann; imagine my surprise to discover it's a dude, not a dudette!

yes yes yes!!!!!! {#Hearteyes}

not really.  in fact, not even remotely close
This song is the truth.

Powerful.
That's funny, you got a contract and I got regrets.
That's why the guy is an artist and many of us ain't. If you can't put yourself out there. . .
Doom, despair, and agony on me
Gloom, depression, excessive misery
If it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all
Doom despair and agony on me
See the hope in small things
Disappointment can wear you thin

{#Sad}

no suitcase, no regrets...

In my perfect world, you'd hear Tom a lot more and in a lot more places.
Just having to work in a cubicle would be enough to make me cry. All the best, fingerpin.
This guy must have served in James Blunt's unit.

Yep. Sappy, but in a "wallowing in my own self-pity" kind of way. You know what they say. "Depression is the greatest form of self-indulgence."

I wonder if there's a software program that will aggregate all lyrics over the past 30 days, what would the general tone be? Despair, depression, sadness?
Started as a 7, ended a 6.

Amen, hang in there, fingerpin.

30. Jesus. Dude. Be careful what you listen to.
Okay dammit, totally forgot to buy this last month.

You married quite young for a Westerner. It'll take you a while to adjust. Hang in there.
Nice chorus, bumped rating to a 4.

I'm not sure we are hearing the same song. Like Radiohead???
yeah...a lot actually. The weird electronic effects in the background, the processed instruments, the maudlin high pitched singing style--if Thom Yorke did the vocals it would fit on any Radiohead album I've ever heard.
Annie Lennox anyone?
him/her, whatever...this is hot.
I hear Gotye.

The term maudlin comes to mind as I listen to this.
kinda sounds like Radiohead.

This song isn't horrible, just kind of limp. Is Tom really a guy? Sounds like a woman..
When I flipped the headphones on, I thought this was Marianne Faithfull. They could do a duet, though I don't think I'd pay for that either.

Tim McGraw?!
