Do I love you because you treat me so indifferently
Or is it the medication
Or is it me
Do I love you because you don't want me to rub your back
Or is it the medication
Or is it you
Or is it true
And I better be prominently featured in your next slideshow
Because I paid a lot of money to get you over here you know
And if I am not prominently featured in your next slideshow
I don't know what I'm gonna do
Do I love you or is this feeling just a little pain
A treasure chest is broken easily open
And usually I am such a happy prince
Behind the Iron Curtain yeah
The city walls
A southern prison
And I better be prominently featured in your next slideshow
'Cause I paid a lot of money to get you over here you know
And if I am not prominently featured in your next slideshow
I don't know what I'm gonna do
Do I love you
Do I love you
Yes I do
Do I love you
Yes I do
Do I love you
(If you need me to)
Yes I do
Do I love you
Yes I do

marry me Rufus!
Saw Rufus live in manchester last year, he was ecellent well worth seeing, think his music works better live
quite annoying!
I just watched him on "Spectacle: Elvis Costello With...". I was very impressed. He's an unabashed opera lover, and you can hear that in his vocals — not always, fortunately, but he can kick it. He's one of several folks who wrote a tribute to Jeff Buckley (Memphis Skyline), and I really enjoyed hearing him talk about that and play it on the piano. Amazingly, he said they'd ask him to cover "Hallelujah", and he did his version without ever having heard Buckley's. When he heard Jeff's version, he really felt a sense of loss that he hadn't had before, having met him only once.

Dufus....that sounds just about right.
Heard him referred to as Dufus Wainright the other day. Not sure I completely agree, but this is not much of an effort. I'll give it a 5 for now, but I'm pretty sure it'll slide with repeated listens.

Ah, Rufus. The man who makes James Blunt seem interesting. The name that sounds like a dog barking. The voice that's pure aural Mogadon. 3 from the soporific Nottingham jury.

May I suggest that you upload one or two, if you have them?
Will do - I'm still new to the whole uploading process. I need to re-rip my CD's at a higher bitrate too.

I was surprised at how few Rufus Wainwright songs have been played on RP. A few suggestions:
-California (Poses)
-April Fools (Rufus Wainwright)
-Waiting for a Dream (Want Two)
-I Don't Know What It Is (Want One)
-Grey Gardens (Poses)
-11-11 (Want One)
All classics.

This sounds like Barry Manilow hitting a new low in commercial music.

This guy's vocal technique drives me batty! It's so darn lazy and nasal, and it doesn't need to be.
Absolutely love this...yes, I love you Rufus...
Was this on K-Tel's, "Anemic Love Songs" collection?
Kate Bush and richer orchestration on this would be interesting . . . my .2
holy piece of unintelligible mushmouthed shit!
Rufus is terrific on the Leonard Cohen DVD - I'm Your Man. Turned me into a fan of Rufus. Great stuff.
I love Rufus!
I thought he said "lightshow", not "slideshow". I'm thinking, so who's this song about, the director of the laser show at the planetarium? Wainwright isn't exactly Pink Floyd...
blech.
Extremely melodramatic - but I liked it!
I've had Poses for years, and was a little overwhelmed trying to decide what other RW to get, b/c from what I've heard/read, RW can be somewhat hit-or-miss...But this song is absolutely beautiful to me, so RP has made the decision easy! Thanks!
Really liked his first CD, but have been unimpressed ever since. This is too whiny.
Let's hear something from Poses, like Cigarettes and Chocolate Milk perhaps? Much more interesting
Rufus for my money.
Rufus is Loudon's son, and I do believe the son has a bit more talent. Rufus has a great voice and style.

He sounds like Thom Yorke.

I know Rufus has it in him, but it's not showing on this track I'm sad to say.
