I was so lucky to have caught a show with Steve at his peak. John Sebastian opened. Those were, indeed, The Days.

Steve was THE standup comic by 1980. I think that's when the record of his Hollywood Bowl performances came out—huge hit. People were begging him not to make movies because they thought he couldn't carry a feature-length film. Robin Williams's movie career was a disappointment at first, after his standup success...

I'm guessing Johnny lost a bet.
