Like the Trumpsters always said....elections have consequences.

More people died of COVID in 2020 because we elected someone who didn't care about people...just the stock market (which cost him the election).

In an ironic twist, more people died of COVID in 2021 because Trump wasn't elected.  If he were doing an Operation Warp Speed victory lap, the low vaccination states would be at higher levels.

Formal, tribal, insanity.

Lastly, Biden has made it crystal clear that only citizens must be vaccinated by Psaki's admission that they have absolutely no intention of vaccinating any of the illegals coming over the southern border. That was the direct answer to a direct question. If public safety was truly behind all of this, the illegals would be vaccinated on the spot, before even beginning processing. Nope, not even a thought and not even an attempt to deny it. I find this as a direct insult to my intelligence.

And as you said yourself, you are not concerned about the safety of these vaccines. Fine. But just because you say so does not mean that no one else should be worried. Unless you claim to speak for everyone like Biden does.

I'll trust you that this is what was said, and I agree that all immigrants seeking to stay in the US should be vaccinated. See? Common ground.

The President's job is to make policy based on risk-benefit analysis. You are deliberately misrepresenting this as speaking for everyone.

As you noted when you popped back in to see what was new, nothing is new here.  Same people, the ones still left, along with the same mindsets. They think that people like you and I are the sheep.  They are too invested in their beliefs to even consider anything that goes against their conclusions.  There is a predominantly closed system of thinking here.  Yet you have been given all the freedom to express your thoughts.  Realize that and do not lose that by continuing on your present path.

You of course can continue and end up DD'ed or you can take a break and count your blessings, regroup and try another approach with your freedom to be here intact.  Either way, the rest will still be here whether you are or not.  FWIW, nothing pisses them off more than someone who knows when to quit before they are tossed.  You'll just have to trust me on that one.

You might end up with them...
The stark message is part of a health ministry campaign aimed at Israel’s 1.2 million Ultra-Orthodox Jews, the community that was the hardest hit by the coronavirus but also blamed by many secular Israelis for prolonging the pandemic by ignoring lockdown rules.

Now the rate of infections among the Haredim, as they are known in Israel, has dropped sharply, falling below the national average for the first time since the pandemic broke out. Cases of severe illness have also dropped, and vaccine take-up is at 72%, a comparatively high rate globally although still below the national rate of 86% in Israel.

The shift comes on the back of a decree from the Haredim’s leading rabbis, who for some hold far more authority in their communities than the state, to endorse the vaccine as Israel began its national roll-out in late December.

“I personally went to rabbinical classes and sat with the rabbis and with the public,” said Ran Balicer of Clalit, Israel’s biggest healthcare provider.

“The bottom line was that the rabbis have declared the rabbinical verdict that the vaccine is safe and effective and should be taken.”

The decision was a turning point for the community ravaged by the virus, where by February, one in every 100 Israeli ultra-Orthodox Jews above the age of 60 had died of COVID-19 - nearly six times higher than among their mainstream peers.

My daughter is getting her Nurse Practitioner degree this year at UCSF

Believe me - all she knows is to follow orders

She does not understand the underlying stuff if it is not her specialty

So you certainly don't know anything about this covid stuff - you just know to follow orders and check everything with Reuters Fact Checking

Is that how science works?

No, data is open and scientists check each others work

I am a data scientist

Just doing my job.
