Note, "Radler" is the name for the southern half of the country. In the northern half, especially from Hamburg on "Alsterwasser" or "Alster" is the term to order it in any bar or restaurant.

The chemically enriched ready-mixes (canned or bottled) of "Radler/Alster" that are available in supermarkets and becoming increasingly popular around the world are just not it!

Didn't realize until today that Radlers (which I like and which a friend has brought me from Germany) are Shandies (which I also like). Apparently there is another German variation called a "Russ" that I think I must try.
