Just out of curiosity, I did a Travelocity search and spotted some fares going for $340 R/T OKC to LHR. Plus taxes and whatnot. Of course those are all gone for the date I looked at but you could fly the first two weeks of April for $675 total.

I've been there, northern AND southern. Snowdonia was to die for. I even wrote a piece on the piano about it.

Always good to get back to one's Motherland.

Never heard of it until now, and I'm sure it's great - no one brings a malt to market unless they're sure it's good.

Have you ever unexpectadly found yourself in downtown Cardiff on the night of the Welsh Rugby cup final? I have, as a callow 19yo student on a geology field trip, who had actually expected to be in Bristol that night. Oh, the trauma.

Agreed on the oak - it's there in spades. We have enjoyed this malt before, in Chicago.  Not available in Oklahoma but my bro was happy to send us a bottle from Texas.

Ha! We had a similar experience, driving into Dublin during this little dustup. Lots of green-and-red tears.

Oh crap. There's been enough trouble ever since the buggers worked out basic brewing (and if you've ever drunk Brain's you'll know just how basic).

And now distillation.

Oh boy.

Isn't it? That winery is about 30 miles from me.

The Norton is a native American grape and my long-term wine crush.

But it's ALWAYS time for a red.

As a matter of fact, it would not surprise me if you were actually laughing at this very moment. Okay, maybe just a chuckle.
