I recently re-read that book, specifically looking for important imagery for my entry in our
local library's Banned Books Week project:
As you can see, I didn't use the turtle imagery. Very nice.
I think he did break out the vehicle type. 88% trucks/SUV among the swervers.

Interesting study; they should've broken down the vehicle type among those who deliberately hit the animals - the results would probably be less surprising than the animal types.
