Yes, I only watched some of those (later) shows if it was raining outside or if I were sick.

I concur. There is wide speculation that the show's name originated from "stuff."  In any event, it was kind of a cool show—-I was so little I just barely remember the details. I just remember liking it.

What do you mean by "weird"?  Okay, maybe those white boots were a bit inappropriate.

The bass player from the Old 97's (Murray?) looks a lot like Ernie.

I also had it pretty bad for Jimmy. He was my first celebrity crush. That was probably the main reason I watched it...and I'd be pissed when he wasn't in some of the episodes. {#Lol}

That was a frickin HILARIOUS show! (What the hell was my mom thinking letting a 12 year-old watch it, though?) I've been meaning to see if it's available on Hulu.

Thanks! And yeah—I'm sure I'll get a lot more too, since I won't be a tweener this time around.

Like I wrote, their pinot noir is a real bargain... when you can find it.

Yes, Uncle Charlie was a miserable old salt and Ernie would not have lasted 15 minutes if he had to go to a real school somewhere.

I always thought this passage from MacMurray's bio on Wikipedia was amusing:

He was considered one of the wealthiest and most frugal actors in the business. Studio co-workers noticed that even as a successful actor, MacMurray would usually bring a brown bag lunch to work, often including a hardboiled egg. According to his co-star on My Three Sons, William Demarest, MacMurray continued to bring dyed Easter eggs for lunch several months after Easter so as not to waste them. Friends and business associates jokingly referred to him as "the thrifty multimillionaire".

I have heard that there are some outstanding wines from his old ranch, though.
