That group has an event (shared from another group). I'd like to invite people who like and follow our group to this event. Is there a way to do that? Seems like there used to be but I can't find it.
I think if you're on the group page, you have to change "posting as" from The Group to your personal profile, then try it. Maybe.

A guess:
Make sure the event you wish to share is open to 'public'. Then, it should be shareable into a private group.

Only the instinct we all have, to look for some nefarious thing to have happened. Opposite would be some sort of pollyanna idea that no evildoers exist. That's why I said paranoia is fine. Probably a safer mindset. But look for a non-conspiracy explanation too...
Gotcha.
edit: I found out that the "sent friend request" log entry is removed as soon as the 'friend' accepts. So...accidental swipe or touch on my part.
I've done that before too, and usually with people I absolutely DON'T want to be friends with ;-)

I wake up early this morning. Turn my phone on... "So-And-So has accepted your FB friendship request."
Huh? I never sent So-And-So a friendship request.
Ok...accidental swipe or touch. So i Unfriend.
But when i check my Activity Log, i don't see anything under the Sent Friend Requests log. But i do see the Unfriend in the Removed Friends log.
Anybody familiar with something like that?
Paranoia is fine, but there's a possibility you sent that friend request a long long time ago, and they never accepted. Now they, for whatever reason, went to add you and found the request from 2012 or whenever.
Not paranoia. I don't even know the person, so i never did send a request. Not knowingly, anyways. So it may have been accidental a long long time ago, maybe. Just trying to understand why it doesn't show up on my activity log. Even if it was accidental, you'd think it would show up there.
I do remember seeing a friendship request from a person i know, the request was over a year old. Took me that long to see it. So i understand what you're saying.
Edit: Hmmm...i was wondering why you mentioned 'paranoia'. Then i realized i said that i changed my password and will not use free wifi. So ya, i see why you said that now. I rarely change my passwords and always use free wi-fi when possible (although i don't have to now), so i've never worried about that. I was sure it was accidental (FB likes to suggest possible 'friendships' and i usually get rid of those, and after a few drinks...who knows) This one really stumped me when i couldn't find it on the activity log, though.

One of your FB connected devices might have been compromised, or your login credentials snooped. Not an unusual thing for FB. Especially when using "Sign in with FB or Google, etc." for any other webservices, such as eMail etc.
Changing your FB and related passwords would be recommended. ;-)
Ya, i changed my password. And i don't use FB to login into anything else...ewww...
But i won't be using the A&W wi-fi at the mall anymore. I got enough data now that i don't need free wi-fi for the little i do.
I just find it odd that the friendship request doesn't show up on my log.
:nowink: I mean, they make a fair point, and then the awfulness of the comments negates that point. Or, in a Reason-approved twist, encourages would-be followers of Reason to not follow Reason.
Geez, why did you make me go read those comments. Now I feel all yucky.
