Call your county animal services office — most counties in FL have professional or skilled amateur herpetologists on-call. currently, the pond in front of our apartment is full up to the edge.  the bullfrog, who has been singing to us at night, is now sitting on the grass. he's by the bench directly in front of our apartment.  he has not moved in the last 2 hours.  even when i walked out there to see if my eyes were playing tricks on me.

in other news, we have a huge toad that lives under our patio.  i hope he's okay, and hasn't drowned.
