not-a-fish wrote:Ok! I have to get to work soon, but let me answer the other questions I read in one post:
1) It's not too late to join. This simply means I need to add another co-host because we have already bumped up the group by 5. 2) I'll share the list of people / groups when we share playlists for this month's mixes. The co-hosts already know obviously. 3) You will always get to choose your own theme when you co-host a month. I'll just post themes for suggestions to those who might need it. 4) Yes we will rotate out of groups once everyone in that group has had a chance to host.
Got it?
Great! See you all later! Plus we are automagically signed up for the Secret Satan thing in December, right?

We all know we have to deal with all of that (ridiculous privacy-invading forms, hard-to-please clients, competitive bidding, etc.) as a part of lives, so when there's an opp'y for something that's almost purely creative, I can get overly protective about it, as in "please don't spoil this."
The postcard swap also required organization, was very cool, very creative, and there wasn't nearly the amount of "how's it work?" discussion. There's beauty in simplicity. Just try and quell the desire to take ownership of the whole thing, C. You've been around here long enough to know that we all spout out ridiculous ideas regarding stuff like this not expecting most of them to stick. It's more like a stream of consciousness purge.

I'd scroll back, but this thread has gotten pretty big and we haven't even sent out the first month of mixes! SUCH A COOL THING!

Yup - you read my mind! I am just giving this month's co-hosts (and me) a chance to figure out those playlists first. ;) Rest assured all playlists will be posted so we can discuss the music and artists. I promise that was a part of the plan all along!

I'm obviously passionate about the concept from an artistic point of view, so that's my story and I'm stickin' to it.
