The burnt ones used to be my favorite when I still ate them.
And I see nothing wrong with ketchup on hot dogs. I used to eat them that way until I started actually liking mustard.

What for? Maybe that's a good idea if you're going to grill it.

 
Pizza Hut and Domino's both spray their crust with it after baking and before sprinkling those flavor crystals on it.

Butter is and has always been an acceptable bonus and/or replacement ingredient on the official BDH&C sandwich... real butter, none of that wimpy "tastes like" stuff.

I absolutely put ketchup on hot dogs and don't usually bother with mustard. As we move up the sausage food chain (Polish sausage), tho, it gets more important to have decent mustard also, and then when you're at homemade bratwurst you have to have homemade mustard and no ketchup.
