I'm laughing because worrying about the Koch brothers is like worrying about the flies buzzing around the elephant in the room.

You disagree with the Koch brothers' ideals. So do I. Fighting the fact that they have tons of money to spread around in support of their ideals is futile, because the odds of them suddenly losing all that money are about the same as one of us gaining it. More importantly, it's pointless. Discredit their ideas and persuade people to believe differently, and all the money in the world won't make them influential.

Remove the elephant, and the flies will follow.

Maybe if people learn to see the flies, they will learn to see the elephant. What do you think this country will be like when there is no more middle class?

I cried for all the government-funded orphanages closing down due to lack of funding in mean old capitalist Amerikkka until I realized the last government-funded orphanages in Amerikkka closed down in the 1960s.

But Brazil is on its second socialist administration in a row, so surely it will have its orphans off the street any day now. Or maybe they have government-funded alters to Mammon.
