I boycott them because they are all serial rapists, they rape all visitors continuously whilst they are at the theme parks and they rape whatever movie series they purchase by releasing franchise sequels at the rate of about one a week. Southpark covered this in the Indiana Jones episode.

“The scene that for decades showed women tied by ropes and put up for auction has been replaced by a scene that depicts pirates auctioning off the pilfered treasures of the townsfolk,” the Times writes. “A tall, redheaded woman who was shown as the top bride prospect in the previous auction scene is now shown as a pirate.”
The Times notes that “Disney has a history of overhauling rides either to reflect more sensitive contemporary tastes or to inject characters or scenes from new movies that the Burbank-based entertainment giant is trying to promote,” and that “park founder Walt Disney himself always intended for the rides to be updated and refreshed to draw return visits.”
Similar changes have been made at Pirates of the Caribbean ride in Walt Disney World in Florida.
The story notes that the changes have been met with mixed reviews, with some decrying how political correctness has affected even amusement park rides.

Killing 2 birds with one stone... the animatronics in that scene were pretty clunky. Newer updates to the ride were pretty good. Still animatronics and not all 3D projections so it's retro cool, but we were there last summer and the differences between that old 60s scene and the newer ones (they incorporated the Johnny Depp character) were pretty stark.

Disney just plays the game by the rules set forth. Some of those rules have been created or abridged to favor Disney, but in those cases, they asked and they received. Anyway if they planned to bring a film to production and didn't run this up the flagpole, no one would celebrate that. If it was later pointed out that they should have done this but didn't and lost possible millions in revenue, someone would write an article about how Disney's lost their way and their stock would drop.

Sometimes "they" (not just Disney) respond to public demand, other times they cultivate public demand - sort of like the "demand" for controlled substances, or even Cabbage-Patch kids. I guess it's the old "chicken & egg" conundrum.

Some of the things that Disney does these days make me think that Walt's head is spinning around in its cryogenic chamber.

I've seen some Special Forces and Navy Seal action figures around for a while, probably not from Disney, though. I think they may have been G.I. Joe figures.

I actually think they are all 3, being a murderer and a hero are not mutually exclusive.

This is a big reason I have nothing but disdain for Disney. Disney Drops Trademark ApplicationMake a buck off anything. I could see Navy SEAL action figures with a dead bin Laden action figure. Glad they seem to listen to public opinion at times.
