about once or twice a month i go and get my favorite flamethrower curry dish
i like the spice, so there's red-like oil floating on the surface (usually pretty potent heat in it)
once i got the food home i had an accident and was covered in huge splatter of this hot curry gravy
unfortunately i was wearing one of my favorite mbe t-shirts
after cleaning the kitchen, i tried to save my threads, but it looks like it's done...

Having the old-not-antique lamp on my bedside table fritz out this morning (and no, it's not just the bulb). It's an old-not-antique family thing and I will be sorry to lose it. Might see if I can take it somewhere to be fixed. It needs a new shade too.

The last couple of days it has been raining hard up here on the northern tip of the Sonoran Desert. (Though whether our region of sage brush steppe is actually part of the Sonoran Desert is subject to debate.) Delayed garden and lawn irrigation by 2 days. Yes. We are slowly but steadily working on replacing all the Victorian lawn. Bright green Victorian-style lawns in deserts and semi-arid sage brush steppe are not aesthetically appealing.
