Slap on the headphones, take a shot of good rum, close your eyes, and just disappear into another world. This is amazing - Eagles working with an orchestra, different instruments, and some existential elements. And then, back to the roots at the end, with a fiddle... God, I love this song. I appreciate it much more now that I'm older and less closed-minded.

Cynaera was such a kind and fun person. This is very sad and a big loss for RP. I hope we listeners can do something collectively to honor her.

One of her favorite songs.  Neat slideshow with the track, too.

I'd heard "Layla."  And then I somehow ended up with an album with this song, and I just never explored anything else. I listened to this song over and over until the grooves were white. (To those young-uns who've never experienced vinyl, do your homework. Vinyl was the first and foremost avenue for providing music to the masses, apart from radio.)

So - somewhere in my collection of albums, I have this one. With one track ruined from gleeful over-play. {#Daisy}

Got it. I was hoping someone might contact, say, the animal shelter, find someone on the ground there with contact info but it's probably something everyone there has put behind them by now.

I had been thinking of trying to contact her brother, to let him know how much a part of this community she was and how she'll be missed. I don't think it's ever too late for people to hear good things about their loved ones.

That's so sad. I was wondering why I hadn't seen any post by her lately. Though it was just another case of another RPeep "lost to FacedBook".

Man She's only a few years older than me. So much tragedy for her over a short period of time.

RIP Ann. {#Cheers}

Well, that isn't good.  Always sort of thought that when I ever got around to finally spending some time wandering around Nevada, I'd wander by Elko and say hello. Dang.

I am so sorry to read this. I will miss Ann and her always positive comments on my sometimes whimsical (but mostly true) journal posts.

Bless you, Ann, for your kind words.

Bless ya Cynaera.

She was big-hearted and acerbic at the same time. There were times when I disagreed with her comments, but I always respected her point of view. I know she was a Jackson Browne fan. I'll have to listen to a song by him tonight in her honor.

And no doubt she loved Elko, home of the annual Cowboy Poetry Festival.

I know about Elko and the festival because of this guy (another Paradise loonie):
