let me guess
it's damn near impossible to avoid the salivary gland flash flood at the roost while immersed in a whole house beef aroma
how do you do it?
I bought myself a present..... got an enameled cast iron braising pan... and am breaking it in by making Julia Child's bouef bourguignon.... it smells SO GOOD up in here!
had a fantastic churrasco last night
i'm openly admitting to a chimichurri addiction
i could take a bath in it...
Be prepared - it's pretty much an all day project.

I should try her recipe. I used Craig Clairborne's and was unimpressed, even with my father's penciled notes.

Thanks, alla youse! Made it through the first treatment, and did not get rushed to the e/r! (it's one of those things that can happen). Hopefully, R_D can handle my steroid rages when they come! YIPPEE!
And now I want a reuben sandwich, too.... steroid appetite may be setting in already!
I must be rubbing off on you.
Wishing you the best in treatments with minimal side effects.

A Reuben? Clearly, that medicine is working and you have your priorities straight.
We're rooting for you, triskele! May your new year be filled with dancing and love!
So, anyone out there who would like to offer up some good thoughts and juju.... It seems that I am, once again, losing my battle.
After many years out of it, I am returning to the chemo chair tomorrow. I'm a little bit freaked out...so your support, and positive intentions, will be appreciated.
I don't get on here very often, so if you have any messages or anything, please direct them to r_d. Thanks...
