Thanks! I fixed some bugs and added some new features. The current version includes - the FLAC version of Radio Paradise (playing endlessly like a real stream)
- the current track information (artist, title, album, year)
- a playlist of the current event incl. random access
- previous and next buttons (for skipping)
- a volume slider
- the progress (time and bar)
- a donation button (to show some love to Bill & Rebecca and support their awesome work)
It works best in Google Chrome. You can download it from my github page. I'll probably leave it like that and continue with the plugin development in Volumio.

Thank you Marco for this implementation and thank you Bill for making available the API information! It does really sound great! I've been enjoying it since I found out yesterday. FLAC encoding let us appreciate more thoroughly the good taste and wonderful work of Bill and Rebecca. It feels like we are in touch with the real thing and it encourages us to support Radio Paradise. :)

I just recently heard of Radio Paradise for the first time and I really like it! Based on your API description in the jriver board, I was playing around with the API and build a little browser based web radio player in plain Javascript. It's build with the help of howlerjs. Basically it plays the FLAC version of Radio Paradise endlessly. It's also possible to skip and repeat tracks and to choose them from a playlist. The cover is displayed as well. You can download it from my github page and try it by just opening the index.html in the browser of your choice. Works best in Google Chrome but should also work in other browsers. In Safari it takes a lot more time to load the tracks. I'm more of a backend developer, Javascript and Nodejs are not my strength at all. This is just a proof of concept project used as a base to integrate it in Volumio as a plugin as well.

Thanks so much for the information you posted on the JRiver site. Knowing how clever some of the people are over there, I'm sure the info is being digested and considered at this very moment!
I'll be sure to report back here on how things develop. I for one am excited!

We will be publishing API details sometime fairly soon — but it's pretty simple & I can easily share it with the JRiver folks.

FYI - the RP3 beta player will play for about an hour and the stream seems to combine with another so both play together. Just happened with the REM song and another I couldn't identify. Also happened earlier this morning. I had to close the player both times.

Thanks so much. You will see a lot of positive support for RP over there, here's hoping we can make this happen

I'm a JRiver user and a regular RP listener. There's an interesting thread going on at the JRiver forums about supporting your new flac streaming. Being one of the most vocal, I have been tasked to ask if there is any documentation for the api, so that the developers over there (I am not one of them!) can look into possible support in the way that Squeezebox has been able to achieve?
If you're interested you might like to have a look https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php/topic,114494.0.html
Do you have an answer I can take to them please? Thanks for your time.
Rob

FLAC playback involves some software tricks at the client end, so for now it is limited to our apps (iOS, Android, AppleTV, MacOS & FireTV), our new web player (coming very soon), or third-party apps that use our player API (like the one for Squeezebox Server).

RP is very popular here in Europe with high-end HiFi enthusiasts and as you already know is recommended by Naim, the possibility of a native FLAC feed is very attractive. Currently I mostly listen to the 320K feed but regularly use the FLAC feed via the ios APP and send it Airplay to my Naim unit - sounds excellent I must say but it would be great to have it native. Thanks!
