That reads as pity to me, not empathy. One source of pity is moral arrogance. And then it becomes all about you.

I learned a long time ago that while you may be able to tell someone how to think, no one ever has the right to tell someone how they should feel about a thing or things.

You are hateful to us because you have so much self-hatred - in my assessment. I have so much empathy for you, I don't know what happened. No, I'm not involved with any cult. I have no suggestions for what will make you finally forgive yourself. I think any cult would offer that readily, so that is not me.

On a personal level I don't think she is even that upset. This was just a setback in her career and lust for power. When you have no plan, beliefs or passion other than power the stakes are just not as high. She is probably relieved not to take any more abuse, get out of the spotlight and enjoy the many profits of her political career. I actually felt sorry for her being such an empty shell of a human being having every moment of her life carefully scripted by her Deep State overlords, but she was destroying all of us so she had to go. She is free now.
100% agree. My sense of her at her speech yesterday was that she is immensely relieved. Unburdened by what was or whatever....that Marx quote has incredible legs.....
