Wow. There are people that spend big bucks to see that. Very nice.
My old school mate is sailing down that coast at the moment. Two days ago he anchored in a small bay past Cabo late at night so couldn't see much, but heard the whales spouting nearby during the night, then woke up to find himself in the most glorious bay with manta rays leaping, schools of small sharks swimming by his boat, the most gloriously clear blue water and a pristine white beach with just a couple of huts on it. Does sound like a really nice corner of the world.
Making a marathon drive from Eugene to Phoenix for my dear uncleâs memorial. His wife, my aunt, lost her brother, my dad, just a few weeks ago. Iâm so thankful I can be there for her. Havenât missed T-day dinner with E for a long time but this is worth it.

Same here. Our people are in Texas, weâll be down there for a week just before Christmas. Weâre usually orphans for Thanksgiving but weâre invited to friendâs family gathering. Had a great time.

Never heard that term before a few days ago; I always thought it was just called "butterflying". I've had chicken made that way; turkeys seem like they would take some serious butchering hardware - or need to be taken to a butcher.
I've done it with a sturdy chef's knife. Works pretty well. Mark Bittman recommends cutting up the turkey into separate parts so that you can vary the cooking style to match the type of meat.
