If they sound like they look, I will probably love it. I am a sucker for them hippie white boys with the jangling guitars. Real Estate, Beach Fossils etc. etc. lol

i haven't listened yet
i like the power pop of yesteryear (and some of the newer stuff)

Is it any good? I like PE alright, but haven't really liked their newer stuff to this point. I mean it is not like Elton John who was abducted by Aliens in the late 70s and replaced by this weird dude with fake hair that can't hit any high notes and can't write music near as good as the real Elton, just not as good as their earlier stuff.
They're never going to be as incendiary as they were when they were young because they opened the doors they did and so many have walked thru them. They were never as musical as those who followed in their footsteps so they aren't the jolt they were when they were brand new.
That said they still have their moments. They seem a little more nuanced in their message.
Thanks for the link. Listening to sPEak right now.

I'm actually not familiar with their stuff. But as i listened to it, sPEak really got my attention musically. I love guitar, and that track spoke () to me. I wasn't able to listen all the way through but it's downloaded and in my listening queue.

Have you ever asked yourself what if BillG were to do only Jazz, Blues, Salsa/Latin, R&B and Rockabilly? Here's what it would sound like, 153 two hour shows from Tom Coulson. https://www.prx.org/series/33799-full-moon-hacksaw
The New Library Sound: Persuasive Percussion, mallets and exotic instruments combined with experimental electronics, effects and analogue synthesizer sound. Intended to transport the aural mood of vintage documentaries, av-class programms or cartoons... Inspired by artists such as Sven Libaek, Piero Umiliani, Henry Mancini, Esquivel, Jean-Jacques Perrey, Air and Kraftwerk... Vol.1 – Oceanography takes you on a trip under the seas. Remember the explorations of JACQUES COUSTEAU or the adventures of TINTIN? Or perhaps you like to join the New Library Sound on a imaginary trip with STEVE ZISSOU aboard the Belafonte... Anyway, tune in and listen to the album entirely to get the feeling of a modern musical sensation and atmosphere, comparable to the one created way back by classic SVEN LIBAEK's „Inner Space“, WALT ROCKMAN's „Under Water“ and maybe also a little bit of LES BAXTER's „Jewels Of The Sea"...
