as of 8:00am, DJT was the most expensive short position you can take. Even using non-fundamental metrics for valuation, truth social would need to have something like 250 million uses to justify it's current valuation. They currently have around 5 million. This is just a semi-legal way to funnel money from foreign governments and rubes who didn't get in on the first round of trumps digital trading cards (buying a .jpg) and who already have a case of 'God bless the USA' bibles (with bonus content that will also be ignored).

So I wandered over to see what puts would cost on DJT and holly shit. That is going to be one crazy stock to watch. The whole thing is either a money laundering / way to get foreign state money scheme, or a crazy option game for high risk gabling. Wonder how many rubes will be holding the bag once his blackout period expires?

"I don't like how Trump said things, but he wasn't wrong about those critical issues. That's why they're voting for him. People should be more respectful of our fellow citizens," says @JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon. "I think this negative talk about MAGA will hurt Biden's campaign."

Absolutely. Heâs interfering with justice in order to use his supposed election to be absolved of his guilt. Note that none of that suggests that heâs not guilty. Otherwise, heâd just get it over with, clear his name, and run for office with head held high. But he canât.

This is it. The answer to Trumpâs many crimes is not that the prosecutor simultaneously was getting laid by and lining the pockets of a colleague. That deserves its own trial.
This is, like the predictable foot-dragging and appeals and side arguments, just Trump being afraid heâll be held responsible. His other option: be a man and speak his piece ( remember Hillary and her eight hours of testimony? Sheâs got more balls than Trump ever will.) and prove his innocence.
Which he canât. Heâs no different from any other thief on the run from the law.

Also, another part of pursuing criminals like this is so that there is a public record. That way if some one (or a group.... like say the RNC) were contemplating going into business (or just signing a joint fundraising agreement) with them, there would be a record of their deeds.
But because of the delays in pursuing this, the completely innocent RNC, who had no way of doing diligence, and obviously had no clue that this shining example of morality and truth might scam them, will now be stuck paying his legal bills. Might even be substantial enough to hurt down ballot candidates. I mean it's possible they knew he was a horrible person, but thought he would treat them well while being horrible to everyone else, but that would be crazy.

Time for a recap.
We have a person who ran for the state wide office AG with a platform of destroying Trump.
That person has their target and begins looking for a crime to use in order to keep their campaign promise.
Finds a crime that involves an application that is far removed from its intent that also has the benefit of a trial without a jury and the extra benefit of being unable to appeal any decision without posting a bond.
I know so many of you called Trump a dummy (in so many words) for failing to request a jury trial. Whose the dummies again ?
So in he goes, presumed guilty before anything starts, not unlike an IRS tax court, where your trial begins with the presumption of guilt and you have to prove your innocence instead of the other way around.
The judge who should have recused themself because of blatant and documented prejudices towards Trump imposes a fine designed to prevent an appeal that cannot be started without financial ruin of the defendant. In direct violation of the 8th Amendment.
Not forgetting the context of this being one of 4 highly coordinated prosecutions that have been called lawfare and election interference.
So here we are.
Trump has offered $100 million in cash which has been turned down.
She's going to proceed to seize property. Once the process begins, Trump will then be able to challenge the seizure in Federal court with proper standing. The 8th Amendment is certainly going to be a part of the defense's argument. This coming appeal should put a halt on the seizure and prompt an immediate review of the trial essentially halting it.
And with the collapsing of the other DA in Georgia's politically motivated trial (who ran for office with the same platform of destroying Trump) being put in serious doubt along with her own future we see a pattern.
Of overreach and political persecution disguised as prosecution for the purpose of overturning an election. Add the arbitrary removal of Trump from primary ballots that required a unanimous SCOTUS ruling to stop.
Everyone of you never Trumper's will can me names for being clueless or for disagreeing with your collective POV's but more and more people are seeing it my way and this is driving increasing support for Trump.

Time to repeat this:
There is no question that Trump chose to retain the classified documents in defiance of a grand jury subpoena. We know this because his own attorney, Evan Corcoran, subsequently testified to the grand jury that when he had attested to DOJ in June 2022 that the documents being turned over at that time were all of the documents responsive to the subpoena he had located after conducting a required due diligence search, he had only searched the documents in the storage room because he was unaware that other possibly responsive documents had been moved out of that storage room by aides at Trumpâs direction.
Corcoran only testified before the grand jury after the presiding judge ruled that the attorney-client privilege that normally would have barred such testimony by him had been pierced. Corcoran also had taken contemporaneous notes at the time that also were produced before the grand jury. Contemporaneous notes adds exponentially to the credibility of a witness.
If this goes to trial, Corcoran will be a virtually unassailable witness against Trump. The Trump defense will move to suppress Corcoranâs testimony by arguing that the prior judge had erred in ruling that the attorney-client privilege had been pierced. If that motion fails, Trump will be convicted based on Corcoranâs testimony and the surveillance tapes showing Walt Nauta moved boxes of documents from the storage room to Trumpâs office and residence.
In sum, this is not a witch hunt, not âlawfare,â not election interference and anyone making those claims is either totally ignorant of, or in denial of, the facts/evidence or lying through their teeth.

Poor Donnie, always the victim.
Ignoring your whining about something he has been found guilty of (not by the AG...but by a court), Trump offered $100M as a bond instead of the amount he owes ($454M). No cash. It wasn't a settlement, it was a reduced bond so he could appeal by getting preferential treatment.
Trump should challenge anything and everything he wants in court. He spent (or should I say you and your other enablers spent) $228k+ per day in February on legal fees. I think it's fair to question election interference, but he said/says he had billions? Mike Bloomberg spent over $1B of his own money running for President. That's what billionaires do. In the end, the Emporer has no clothes. The scammer is running out of scams. The Ponzi scheme has run out of suckers. It's not that everyone is out to get him... it's that everyone he's screwed or tricked or lied to is catching up to him.
To your statement about galvanizing his support, the country is divided pretty evenly into 3 groups:
1) Those who enjoy watching Trump get his due for breaking laws and screwing people for 40 years,
2) Those who don't care about anything he's done so long as he attacks and destroys everything, and
3) Those who don't care or pay attention (about 40% of America).
I'm in group 1, you're in group 2. The group that is going to decide the next POTUS is group 3. You want them to believe a few things to get Trump re-elected:
- forget about the disaster of Trump's COVID management. The only reason he didn't win last time.
- sure prices are high, but wages have caught up, 401(k)s are strong, and most people are out buying shit. Somehow, you want those people to believe things would be better right now if Trump was the POTUS. If you don't watch FOX, that's gonna be tough to sell.
- 7 in 10 Americans believe in a womans right to choose to have a child. Trump took credit for denying that right.
- oh yeah...he wants to be a dictator, dismantle the Constitution, give Ukraine to Putin, and continue to isolate the US from allies.
You're fooling yourself if you think the NY AG's taking his properties because he's too broke and too risky to even find a bond is going to make a damn bit of difference to most of the country.

Nope. I know you would like to spin it that way, because that is the way Trump spins it to weasel his way out of the charges.
IMO leaders of democracies should stand up to the strictest scrutiny. Why have free elections if you can't choose the best of the best to lead you?
