I'm trying to figure out how Don Jr will turn the cult into a church after Sr dies
There is no reason why this shouldn't be on TV. Give people a chance to watch for themselves, and possibly decide not only guilt or innocence... but the sense of fairness delivered by the judge.
The reason it won't be on TV is that Trump is already an impossible defendant to manage. Wouldn't it be a zoo x100 if it was televised?
Well, weâre not the ones to judge the judgeâs fairness. And he doesnât need to glower and act up for the cameras. Assuming the judge is competent (and thereâs every indication he is) then the sausage is getting made and weâll just have to sit back a bit.
I do not doubt fairness...but having the video evidence helps to limit the daily BS that is going to come out of the defendant's mouth on his way home. Every day. In the end, it won't matter much... as the faithful will hear what they want regardless of the video evidence to the contrary.

Well, weâre not the ones to judge the judgeâs fairness. And the convicted sex offender, failed reality TV star, who bankrupted a casino and stashed government classified documents unguarded in his home toilet doesnât need to glower and act up for the cameras. Fascinating. I always suspected there was a Messianic qulity to his appeal.
There's a lot of crazy out there.

A man lit himself on fire outside of the courthouse where the Trump trial is underway, two law enforcement sources confirmed to CNN.
The man walked into the park across the street from the courthouse, throwing flyers into the air, a senior law enforcement official told CNN. He then pulled something out of a backpack â it was not immediately clear what the item was â and lit himself on fire, the official said.
At least one person used a fire extinguisher to try to put out the blaze, and an EMT rushed up to the man and tried to render aid, according to CNN's Laura Coates, who narrated the scene unfolding in front of her outside the courthouse.
I would consider myself a "local" for the article. I'm from Philly... but I worked in NYC for well over a decade, and always saw him as aspirational, always reaching, always overselling. Atlantic City was first, but golf was where I heard some of the best stories 30 years ago.
Everyone knows about Trump's love of golf, and he was desperate to get into Pine Valley (ranked consistently as the best course in the world, located in the South Jersey pines). I knew/know several members. He tracked down every member he could, offered all kinds of "incentives", and begged to be a member. No dice. Out of spite, he purchased Pine Hill Golf Club (1.5 miles away), took it private, and said he was going to make it "better than Pine Valley".
He's an outsider. A rube. That chip on his shoulder is what plays so well with the MAGA crowd.
@Kurtster: The punishment or sanction for contempt of court is determined by the presiding judge. Merchan does not HAVE to jail Trump for contempt of court, much as Trump apparently wants that to happenâI guess because he wants to portray himself yet again as a victim.
Ah yes. Trump the mighty billionaire who can't cover the bonds without shady help. The owner of his own social media platform that's sinking like the Hindenburg on fire. He's a victim all rightâof his own stupidity, rashness and senility.
The real problem is not the whining from the MAGA crowd, it's their willingness to believe that somehow Donnie is a martyr. If he's re-elected, instead of seeing is use of the DOJ as some sort of revenge machine, they've been conditioned to believe that Biden is the one who opened Pandora's box. This is the insidious risk with Trump, he projects every single thing he does onto everyone else (not doing it)...so when he gets what he wants, it's not seen as new, different, special...and most importantly illegal.
Kurt doesn't see any of Trump's actions as criminal, so he won't care in the future if anyone else has committed crimes when accused and prosecuted by Trump later. It's the standard "whataboutism"... because Trump says total crap so much, everyone is de-sensitized. I don't think it's some "master plan", so much as lying is how Trump has lived for 60-70 years. He literally can't stop himself... and the more he lies, the more 1/3rd of the country cheers.
