dang, what a cast!

It's a neat film - funny and quirky like a lot of Wes Anderson's other stuff, and a good story.  I'm surprised I hadn't even heard of it until a few days ago.

Yes, Norton was creepy. I haven't seen the series he was in, where he was a sympathetic priest ...

I don't remember a Miss O'Brien.

The actress who played O'Brien (Lady Grantham's sour lady's maid) plays the sister of the main character in Happy Valley. Very different characters played by a great actress. Back in '86 she played a fast and loose teenager in her first movie...

James Norton is really great in "Happy Valley" as the bad guy. Quite the opposite of the sympathetic priest he plays in "Grantchester", which is on Amazon Video and free to watch if you have Amazon Prime.

Miss O'Brien from Downton Abbey.
Grantchester is not on Netflix, alas.
He's in Death Comes to Pemberly which is on Netflix.

I've read excerpts from it; I need to actually get the book.

It really seems to capture the rock scene and NYC of that era. There are several hilarious anecdotes. Actually, I'm going to re-read it at some point - when I got the book a few years a go, I skipped around the book to read about the people I was most interested in, and I missed some sections.
