A.) That is a nice lineup right there. B.) I had no idea how collectively attractive The Wailin' Jennys are. Four acts I already know do a killer show and a couple more on my bucket list. Surprised Rodney Crowell isn't on the lineup, but I could make do. We've missed this twice due to other commitments but this year there may be room in the schedule... Rodney Crowell played the first two.

I don't think we're going to make Donkey Creek. This summer is just nuts - I shudder to think how much I'm spending on fuel shuttling the offspring from camp to camp. That's what I get for having kids with interests and stuff. I think Nic Fest may be the only festival we'll take in, and frankly their lineup is pretty "meh" this year (edit: except for Fishtank Ensemble - they're good). Rodney Crowell's playing Beartrap in August, but we've got a prior commitment.

ptooey wrote:Nope. Did you see the lineup for Targhee Fest this year? I did the math...figured it would cost us around $700, at the minimum. Maybe I'll just sit on the patio and listen to Kiko really loud instead. Yeah at the minimum, any sojourn over that way gets expensive fast. Are you going up to Donkey Creek? We just can't schedule it in this year but there are several bands I'd like to see. We're doing Butte, America again, but that's a bit of a haul for you all.

Americanarama All this whinging about $75 tickets. Tickets in the pit for this one are $200. I'm quite happy imagining myself being there because I can't afford it but even if I could, the closest venue is a day away in Colorado. I'd have to sell a cat to pay for it though

I thought that last time the opportunity came up in Ohio. Could've seen them with my brother. We both decided it was too much. But damn it - with the way aging celebrities have been dropping like flies lately - I'd really like to see them while I can. And I'll probably NEVER get the chance to go with my brother (who introduced them to me as a tweener) again. Damn it. Should've done it back then. The other big "dammit" is that pre-sale is tomorrow - the day before payday. GAH! EDIT: Most concerts are that expensive now - I blame music piracy. Has to be reclaimed somehow.

If I was going it would definitely be Sunday! A little irritating that The Lumineers get top billing over DBT....really?? Lumineers areFlava of the month, DBT is a southern institution! Dr. Dog and Kurt Vile rock too!
