Anyone who truly lives in the moment will not live very long.  You really do need to anticipate what might happen in the next few moments when doing things like crossing the street.

At the vet with our constipated kitteh. In the exam room, the nurse asks questions, writes everything down. Nurse leaves, doctor comes in. He has the nurse's paperwork in front of him as he procedes to ask the very same questions and get the very same answers.
