Controlled traffic like that is becoming standard in the grains industries here so you don't get compaction in the planted areas.  I would think you want the sensors out on boom-arms, though because at that wheel-base, you are taking a lot of land out of production.

Still not as easy as they make it seem.

It's not going to save the family farm, though. The capital costs and lack of labour input will further the consolidation of corporate farming and not be good for rural communities.
