Interesting discussion of the state of academia with four very different academics.
Cornell West was my college graduation speaker. He and Robert George (as brother West mentions) have done hundreds of discussions over the years about critical thinking and the role of colleges in fostering conversation. They are an interesting pair.
For the painfully bored, here is one such conversation that took place my daughter's freshman year (she and George attended the same college...40 years apart).

At the very least, the US owes the impoverished, "tired and poor" an opportunity to come to this country and participate in its successes.

“It's really quite that simple,” Gorka said in a little-noticed interview with Newsmax. “We have people who love America, like the president, like his cabinet, like the directors of his agencies, who want to protect Americans. And then there is the other side, that is on the side of the cartel members, on the side of the illegal aliens, on the side of the terrorists.”

If I understand correctly you are not allowed to offer material support for organizations that are designated as terrorists (unless that organization is currently favored by the US Gov like in Syria).
Which makes my point...that story or at least the headline didnt effectively cover the issue...which is more about due process than free speech.
Reminds me of a story from Fox this week about that new female sculptor that went up in San Fran.
Headline was something like people complain about the new nude sculptor as offensive, and then the video has interview of people saying they like it.
The benefit of the doubt does not go to the accuser, it goes to the accused.
And due process is important for everyone, but it is critical for the least savory of people. If you start carving out people who you won't let the system protect, then the system is useless for protecting anyone.
I think its important to point out...he did not say visas would be pulled if based on free speech, but will be pulled if you riot, vandalize, harassing....
Now, whether this student in question was rioting, vandalizing, harassing or just "speaking"...I dont know.
